We are happy to announce that our beautiful minivan, the Sedona (known as Grand Carnival in some markets) has been dubbed the ‘Ultimate Minivan’ by Cars.com and MotorWeek in the USA! After a multi-day comparison test consisting of detailed analysis of many minivan models, Kia’s all-new Sedona was picked the winner.
Sedona’s SUV-like styling and decidedly premium interior helped it top the segment full of long-standing stalwarts, while beating its competitors in criteria like technology, features, and drivetrains.
Kia Motors America Vice President of product planning, Orth Hedrick, proudly said that “the fully reimagined Sedona has been a tremendous success for Kia, connecting on multiple levels with families and active lifestyle consumers alike.” Needless to say, the friendly Sedona has clearly been the popular choice for families with children.
The Kia Sedona has positioned itself as the leading minivan in the industry, winning many other accolades ranging from the J.D. Power APEAL Award to the 2015 Autobytel Van/Minivan of the Year. And its class-leading safety was yet again confirmed by being named a 2015 Top Safety Pick by IIHS in the United States.

Het probleem lijkt zich uitsluitend voor te doen in de CV van deur linksvoor.Als je de stang handmatig naar beneden drukt doet hij wel mee met de CV omhoog.Maar niet omlaag.Bij sleutel in contactslot gaat de CV zelf weer 4x 'proberen'.3e x slot compleet vervangen maar zonder resultaat.Draadbreuk niet geconstateerd.Iemand nog een idee..?Wellicht probleem in een relais van de CV-module..?

More and more consumers are turning to alternative powertrain cars such as the beloved Kia Optima Hybrid to go green, but there seems to be a lack of understanding about eco-friendly cars in general. Here are a number of misconceptions about eco-friendly cars and the facts that set them straight.
Short-lived batteries
Contrary to popular belief, batteries in many hybrid cars have exceptional longevity. The lithium ion polymer batteries in Kia’s eco-friendly cars have excellent durability, and batteries in fuel cell vehicles can be used semi-permanently.
Hybrid cars are susceptible to electric shock
Many fear electrocution when their cars get wet. However, the batteries in hybrid cars immediately lower their electricity levels and switch from serial to parallel circuits the moment they come into contact with water, fundamentally eliminating the possibility of electrocution.
Batteries die on their own
Most batteries have a self-discharging feature, which means they consume energy even when not in use. This is particularly true of lead-acid storage batteries, which use up a lot of energy. Kia’s lithium ion polymer batteries, on the other hand, have a self-discharging rate some twenty times lower than that of conventional lead batteries.
Fuel cell vehicles are prone to explosion
Safety tests on fuel cell vehicles are exceptionally thorough. When the car catches fire, the safety valve in the hydrogen tank opens instantly, releasing hydrogen into the air. Hydrogen escapes through a narrow hole under significantly high injection pressure, so the hydrogen, rather than acting as an agent, helps put out the fire. Kia’s hydrogen cars are equipped with four hydrogen detecting sensors and have all passed the safety tests of the Korea Gas Safety Corporation.

The fourth-generation 2017 Kia Sportage made its debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Sporting an all-new look with a slightly longer body than the current model, the 2017 Kia Sportage also has improved aerodynamics and more legroom and headroom for passengers. Kia announced that the Sportage will launch with a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine as well as a turbocharged variant that will be exclusive to the Sportage R-Line model. There is also a 2.0-liter diesel engine, although it’s unclear whether it will make its way to the U.S.

Expect a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder to join the lineup in the U.S. paired to a seven-speed-dual clutch transmission thanks to its combination of power and fuel efficiency. The 2017 Kia Sportage has been confirmed to launch in Europe starting in spring of 2016 and details on its U.S. arrival is expected to be announced later this year. Kia has really upped its game in recent years — and the 2015 Kia Cadenza proves it.
If you haven’t heard of the Cadenza, it’s a full-size premium sedan that boasts luxury-car comfort and performance. It offers two trim levels — the well-equipped Premium, which starts around $35,000, and the fully loaded Limited, which starts at just over $40,000. While the Cadenza lacks aV8 or hybrid option, it does offer a powerful 293-horsepower 3.3-liter V6 engine that’s paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

At one of the hottest places on Earth, a fleet of Kia vehicles made an appearance for the ultimate test. In Death Valley, in eastern California in the U.S., the all-new Sportage underwent the final stages of its development with the most extreme and rigorous vehicle testing implemented by the company yet.
This ‘Hot Test’ was designed to test the durability of the all-new Sportage in the harshest environments, with the focus on its superior heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
Three sets of tests were conducted, including the up-hill climb, the stop-and-go drive and a slow drive. For the up-hill climb, the Sportage was driven on a steady climb over 27 kilometers (17 miles) at 100 kph (62 mph) after heating up to over 50ºC (122ºF) under the sun. The result? Extra heat and load placed on the engine had little impact on the Sportage’s cooling system!

All-new Sportage takes the IAA by storm
Continuing the success of its predecessor model, the all-new Sportage has been revamped with an innovative and sophisticated package and premium technology features. In order to improve comfort and convenience of the passengers and drivers, the new interior is significantly upgraded with high quality materials and modern design. Engines and transmissions have also been updated, ensuring enhanced efficiency and performance.
For those in need of a sportier driving experience, a new ‘GT Line’ specification will be available to Sportage customers in many countries for the first time ever. Kia has high hopes for the all-new Sportage, as it remains the brand’s bestselling model in Europe, accounting for more than a quarter of Kia’s total European sales. The new model is expected to go on sale across Europe in Q1 2016.
All-new Optima unveiled to European audience
First unveiled to the European market at this year’s IAA, the all-new Optima seeks to continue its success with a fresh look and premium features. The all-new Optima is more technologically advanced than ever before, with an array of new technologies and a wide choice of powertrains. The highly anticipated all-new Optima is expected to go on sale in Europe by the end of 2015.
Upgraded Kia cee’d
One of the most popular Kia models in Europe, the Kia cee’d has received full upgrades for more dynamic performance and a distinct style to meet the standards of European buyers. The exterior has been polished and it is now equipped with a wider range of engines and transmissions, including the all-new three-cylinder 1.0-liter T-GDI engine. Along with the improved engine, the cee’d also comes with new safety, comfort and convenience upgrades. The enhanced model is available with a new ‘GT Line’ specification in three cee’d body types, including the five door cee’d, cee’d Sportswagon and three-door pro_cee’d, for owners that enjoy the sportier lifestyle.
From the global premiere of the long-anticipated all-new Sportage to the advancements made to other popular Kia models both inside and out, Kia Motors is definitely expected to be a crowd pleaser at the Frankfurt International Motor Show. Kia took to the stage at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show to introduce the new 2017 Sportage.
The fourth-generation Sportage has an all-new look and is slightly longer than today’s model, though width remains the same. Improved aerodynamics are a result of the fresh styling and new proportions, bringing the drag coefficient from 0.35 to 0.33 Cd, while passengers also benefit thanks to more legroom and headroom.
A range of engines are available including a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter direct-injection four-cylinder along with a turbocharged version of this same engine that is available exclusively with the Sportage R-Line model. A 2.0-liter turbo diesel will also be available, but U.S. availability remains unclear.
Buyers who opt for the 1.6-liter turbo get Kia’s new seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. This powertrain is likely for the U.S. market thanks to its combination of power and fuel efficiency.

Kia says that the noise, vibration and harshness of the Sportage has been vastly improved, complementing the crossover’s redesigned interior. Soft-touch materials are found throughout the cabin along with high-quality leather with contract stitching.
The previously mentioned R-Line Sportage is new for this year and its meant to accent the crossover’s sporty side. Not only do you get a turbocharged engine, it also comes with a D-shaped steering wheel, aluminum alloy pedals, larger 19-inch wheels, dual-exhaust, a metal rear diffuser and some other exterior accents to help it stand out.
Like with most new cars, safety equipment is not in short supply, with the Sportage featuring autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, high-beam assist, speed limit information, blind spot detection and rear cross traffic alert.
The new 2017 Kia Sportage goes on sale across Europe in the spring of 2016. U.S. availability has not yet been revealed.

Hallo.Als ik s'morgens m'n auto start gaat het toerental naar de 1500 en slaat daarna af, daarna start ik de auto nog een keer en blijft deze lopen, echter schommelt deze dan een stuk of vier keer tussen de 800 en 2000 toeren waarna hij terug zakt naar normaal toerental, bij het wegrijden is er geen probleem maar als de motor warm word dan valt deze bij het stoppen uit of blijft net aan lopen.ik heb al vervangenkathalysator, lambdasondes, lmm, luchtfilter, bobines, bougiekabels, bougie's, kleppendekselpakking, olie, oliefilter, nieuwe radiator (deze was lek), map sensor is goed, idle regelaar is goed, geen vacuumslang lek, injectors laten reinigen, nieuwe rubbers op de injectors gedaan.maar het probleem blijft zich voor doen.wie kan mij helpen?hij is al uitgelezen bij de kia dealer en door mijzelf maar we kunnen niks vinden, wel dat ik vaak de storing "system too lean bank 1" krijg.b.v.d.Sebastiaan.
