Kia gears up for Copa América Chile 2015 as the Platinum Sponsor

This coming June, the world’s football fans will turn their attention to the South American continent for the 44th Copa América 2015 hosted by Chile. To mark the official commencement of its Platinum Sponsorship, Kia Motors was present at a recent sponsorship agreement signing ceremony. This marks our second consecutive sponsorship of Copa América, after first having served as a ‘Gold Sponsor’ for the 2011 tournament in Argentina.

Copa América Chile 2015 will be a festive event for football fans and players worldwide, especially for those in the Central & South America region. Copa América Chile 2015 is scheduled to kick off on June 11th and the champion will be revealed on July 4th. Ten teams from South America (Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela) and two Central American teams (Mexico and Jamaica) will comprise three groups that will play in the tournament in eight beautiful cities across Chile

Throughout the tournament, Kia will supply 140 official vehicles to the local organizing committee from our wide-ranging model line-up including the all-new Sorento, Grand Carnival (Sedona) and Quoris (K900). “We are very pleased for this opportunity to continue our involvement with the world’s oldest and South America’s biggest football championship,” said Kyung-Han Kim, President of Kia’s Central & South America Regional Headquarters. “The signing of this sponsorship agreement is a clear indication of our commitment to creating an engaging and enjoyable experience for football fans.”
