Ook het starten van de ICE gaat via een HSG (Hybride Start Generator), dus 240V. De 12V accu is alleen voor de boord systemen zoals alarm b.v. en dient voor het aansluiten van de HV-accu aan de hybride systemen (EV-Motor, HSG, Airco, DCT b.v. ...).
