Kia Pro_ceed GT Teased, Not Coming to US

Kia has confirmed that a fast version of the Pro_cee’d will be coming to take on the Ford Focus ST and Volkswagen GTI, though the brand has already said that the Pro_cee’d GT is not destined for the U.S. 

The Pro_cee’d GT will use a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine sourced from the Veloster turbo that makes 200 hp, mated exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission according to CAR.

The interior of the car will be complete with red stitching and GT badging. Other new features seen in the teaser sketch released by the brand include oversize wheels, LED running lights and a new front fascia, all giving the car a sportier look.

The Pro_cee’d GT is going to test the waters for the GT brand at Kia. If it is a success, more GT models can be expected, including a hot version of the Kia Rio, which will likely be the first Kia hot hatch to come to America.

Watch for the Pro_cee’d GT to bow at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show.

Lol altijd lachen die schetsen word waarschijnlijk een gewone ProCeed met 18 inch, sideskirts en 1.6 Turbo motor.

Lijkt me wel heerlijke uitvoering met 200PK zal me niets verbazen als deze motor ook de vervanger word volgend jaar voor de huidige 2 liter in Sportage.
