Kiaclub Nieuwsrobot Geplaatst 12 Juli, 2013 Geplaatst 12 Juli, 2013 Did you know there’s an actual museum in South Korea that shows Kia Motors’ vehicle history? The Kia R&D Museum located in Hyundai Kia R&D Center in South Korea opened in 2007, displaying 20 cars on display and 190 cars in storage. All the significant models from Kia Motors starting with T-600 truck from back in 1969 are exhibited. Let’s take a look. This right here is Kia Motors evolution – From right to left it’s T-600 Truck from 1969, Brisa from 1974, K-111 military vehicle (which later came out as “Rocsta” for civilians in 1990), Bongo from 1980 and so on. Here’s a red hot Elan, which production started with Kia Motors in 1996 ending back in 2000. It’s too bad we don’t get to take this out anymore to hit the road with the tops down. We’d like to call this a classic beaute. 1st generation Rio from 1987, previously known as Pride. …The Original Kia logo from 1986. Not the usual Kia logo you’re used to, is it? Since the museum is located at the R&D center, access or photography is limited here. If you want to visit the museum, you either need an invitation from Kia Motors or be a Kia employee – We’ll keep sharing more photos of the museum here on Kia BUZZ, whenever becomes available so stay tuned.
