Built on the same platform as the Hyundai Equus, the Kia K900 is known as the Quoris and K9 in other markets and will be the Korean automaker’s attempt at offering a luxurious sedan at a budget price. The K900 will be offered in the U.S. with V6 and V8 engine options, though official engines have not yet been announced. Kia K900 Could Cost up to $70,000 in the U.S. The rear-wheel drive luxury sedan will be Kia’s U.S. flagship model and will be priced from $50,000 but could cost upwards of $70,000 fully loaded. The V6 will likely be the 3.8-liter engine that is already offered in South Korea with around 290 hp while the V8 powerplant is expected to have around 420 hp. Also expected on the K900 is an eight-speed automatic transmission, adaptive LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, a 17-speaker premium stereo system and a head-up display. Kia hopes to sell around 5,000 units of its flagship sedan next year. Check back as AutoGuide will be reporting live from the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.
