For the 2014 model year, the Korean automaker offers the Sportage in three trim levels, getting rid of the Sportage Base from the lineup which causes the price increase. The 2014 Sportage however does get a mild facelift and has a more powerful base engine, a 2.4-liter with 182 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque. A more powerful turbocharged 2.0-liter engine is also available with 260 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. A tilt and telescopic steering column has been added as standard equipment across all three trim levels. Shoppers looking for all the bells-and-whistles will see pricing starting from $29,250 for the Sportage SX with all-wheel drive.
