Inside story of the newly designed Optima

Completely redesigned in 2011, the Optima’s stunning styling has captured the attention of people around the world. The Optima is considered to have played a crucial role in positioning Kia as a leading brand in the industry, and its design prowess is evidenced by winning the 2011 red dot ‘best of the best’ title.

Today, we were able to access a short clip of an interview with the head of Kia’s Exterior Design Team who oversaw the styling enhancements of the refreshed 2014 Optima. He explains the improved specifications and looks of the updated Optima.

Earlier this year, the 2013 Kia Optima was named ‘International Car of the Year’ by Road & Travel Magazine of the U.S. in recognition of its distinctive design, advanced technology and unmatched value. We look forward to even more prestigious accolades for the refreshed Optima.
