Kiaclub Nieuwsrobot Geplaatst 8 Januari, 2014 Geplaatst 8 Januari, 2014 At the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Kia previewed a pair of concepts that showcase the brand’s next-generation telematics and infotainment systems. The user-centered driver Concept (UCD – pictured above) has one goal in mind: keeping the driver’s eyes on the road and hands on the wheel. With that in mind, the Korean automaker designed an 18-inch head-up display that gives drivers an augmented-reality snapshot of information such as speed, navigation and traffic. In addition, a 12.3-inch TFT LCD cluster gives a 3D view of vital vehicle info while taking advantage of eye-tracking technology to maintain a clear view from various angles. The in-vehicle infotainment concept (IVI) gives a look at Kia’s latest innovations in the field of in-vehicle services. A 20-inch multi-touch center console display is at the heart of IVI along with “smart radio” functions that includes the ability to personalize playlists according to the user’s mood.
