Two engines are available with the K900, either a 3.8-liter V6 that makes 311 hp or a 5.0-liter V8 that pumps out 420 hp. With the V6 under the hood, the EPA says that the K900 should return 18 mpg in the city, 27 mpg on the highway and 21 mpg combined. When fitted with the V8, the car is pegged to return 15 mpg city, 23 mpg highway which combine for 18 mpg. Both powerplants are hooked up to an eight-speed automatic transmission which sends power to the rear wheels. SEE ALSO: Kia K900 Could Cost up to $70,000 Kia and Hyundai are looking to take the fight to the German luxury cars, namely the Audi A8, Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7-Series, though for a cheaper entry price. The K900 is expected to start around $50,000 for a base car while a loaded version will cost around $70,000.
