Making its debut at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show is the Kia Telluride concept and we wouldn’t blame you if it reminds you of the Volvo XC90 SUV. Built on a modified version of the Kia Sorento’s architecture, the design study is considerably larger than the Sorento – almost 10-inches longer and nearly five-inches wider. It is also four-inches taller and rolls on a wheelbase that has been stretched by almost an entire 12 inches. SEE ALSO: 2016 Detroit Auto Show Coverage Further enhancing its appearance is a Dark Pyrite Green exterior and 22-inch wheels. Climbing into the cabin, the Telluride concept greets passengers with captain’s chairs in the first and second row. Under the hood of the concept is a 3.5-liter V6 engine paired to an electric motor to provide 400 horsepower while delivering over 30 miles-per-gallon on the highway. Although Kia claims that it currently has no plans to bring the model to market, don’t be surprised if it arrives in production form in a few years.
