#TheNewKia – Kia greets social media influencers in San Diego

Last month, Kia Motors America invited 50 bloggers and social media influencers to the beautiful city of sun, sand and surf – San Diego, California – for an exciting and eye-opening brand immersion event.

Participants were in for an action-packed two days that allowed them to explore every aspect of the Kia brand. Upon arrival, guests were provided with interesting information about Kia Motors including a comprehensive brand history, philosophies on design and safety and corporate social responsibly projects before an introduction to Kia’s eco-friendly vehicle line-up, which they would be test driving later in the day.

After the presentations, our media influencer guests were given the opportunity to take one of Kia’s eco-friendly vehicles out for a spin. Teaming up into small groups, each test drive team chose between the Optima Hybrid, Optima Plug-in Hybrid, Niro or Soul EV to drive around town. The teams were able to experience the performance of our green models up close as they cruised and explored the city’s landmarks in the glorious sunny weather.

To add some fun to the drive, Kia also held a car karaoke challenge, asking guests to create karaoke videos during the test drive. See some of the amazing entries below!
