Kiaclub Nieuwsrobot Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Kia’s sometimes outlandish TV commercials are never short on clever and creative ideas. Every Kia commercial captures and showcases the distinctive positioning and unique charm and appeal of our vehicles. With every new powerful and innovative TV spot, Kia continues to make memorable impressions on millions of viewers. The renowned stars of our commercials no doubt play an instrumental role in capturing and delivering the distinctive look and feel of our vehicles. Watch how each star steals the spotlight! Christina Hendricks + Kia Cadenza Kia Cadenza is impossible to ignore and so is Christina Hendricks. In the newest spot from Kia Motors America, Christina Hendricks leaves a lavish hotel and walks past suited chauffeurs, each trying to welcome her into the backseat of different luxury vehicles. She does not stop, however, and instead, drives away behind the wheel of her Cadenza. Hendricks’ beauty and confidence brilliantly match the undeniable allure of the Cadenza. A perfect embodiment of the ad’s tagline, “Impossible to Ignore,” Hendricks and the Cadenza demonstrate that “confidence never goes out of style.” Melissa McCarthy + Kia Niro “It’s hard to be an eco-warrior. But it’s easy to drive like one.” Actress and comedian Melissa McCarthy plays to her comedic strengths as an eco-warrior in the 2017 Super Bowl commercial for the Kia Niro as she hilariously attempts to save the world while landing herself in the most perilous of situations. From rescuing whales, preserving the polar ice caps and stopping deforestation, all of her endeavors take a turn for the worse and she soon learns that saving the environment is no easy task. The commercial delivers a clear and inspiring message on how buying and driving a smarter kind of crossover can help save the planet without putting ourselves in harm’s way. Massively entertaining and wonderfully orchestrated, “Hero’s Journey” featuring McCarthy was named among the Best Super Bowl Commercials of 2017. ▶ Check out the most memorable Niro TV spots from around the world! Brian Bosworth & Bo Jackson + Kia Sorento For the Kia Sorento, Kia brought back two American football legends, Brian Bosworth and Bo Jackson. On November of 1987, Jackson blew through Bosworth on his way to a spectacular and legendary touchdown. Recreating the famous Bosworth-Jackson matchup, Kia was able to strike a nostalgic chord with many viewers. In the commercial, set in the 1980s football video game ‘Tecmo Bowl,’ Jackson drives the Sorento towards the end zone where Bosworth is waiting for him. Instead of running over Boswoth, Jackson activates the SUV’s Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) system. “Thanks for not running me over,’ Bosworth remarks as he jumps in. With legendary players and the every-lasting popularity of Tecmo Bowl, Kia was able to draw eyes to the power, intelligence and nimble handling of the Sorento. Christopher Walken + Kia Optima Kia Optima refuses to be ordinary with Christopher Walken. In the 2016 Super Bowl spot for the Kia Optima, Academy Award-winner Christopher Walken narrates how the Optima is a standout model in a midsize-sedan sea of mediocrity. By employing colorful socks, Walken convinces a man dressed in beige that the Optima is a vibrant alternative – much like a colorful pair of socks – for those searching for a refreshing alternative in a vehicle segment that lacks flair. With a unique and fully integrated colorful socks campaign following the TV spot, Kia was successful in showcasing the Optima as more than just a “beige” or “ordinary” vehicle. Pierce Brosnan + Kia Sorento Pierce Brosnan, renowned for his sophisticated heroic roles, made the perfect getaway in the 2015 Super Bowl campaign for the Kia Sorento. Sitting in a luxurious office waiting to line up his next onscreen adventure, Brosnan visualizes an action film complete with a rocket launcher as the agent pitches a film set in the snowy mountains. Despite the actor’s expectations, the scene he is being pitched features pleasant encounters with natural beauty and wildlife accompanied by the Sorento. However, the Sorento’s capacity to handle any adventure-seeker’s lifestyle is more than enough to put a smile on his face. “Can I keep the car?” he asks delightedly.
