Kia comes to Frankfurt packed full of surprises

The Frankfurt International Motor Show (Internationale Automobile-Ausstellung) is widely known as the largest, most prestigious automobile exhibition in the world. This year, Kia is returning to Frankfurt fully loaded with an impressive line-up of new vehicles. Find out what surprises we have waiting for you on our show floor!

 

Proceed Concept

 

 

As Kia’s newest concept model and possible future addition to the ever-popular cee’d family, the Proceed Concept is already creating quite a stir among automobile enthusiasts. The teaser images previewed ahead of the reveal commanded the full attention of the automotive world, showcasing a design with a shape unlike anything Kia has ever produced before.

 

 

With a streamlined, curvaceous exterior design and striking ‘Lava Red’ paint job, the hot hatch concept certainly possesses head-turning style. The ‘Sharkblade’ body and haute couture-inspired interior of the Proceed Concept represents a vision of the future design direction of the cee’d model range.

 

 

Stonic

 

 

Kia Stonic, our newest compact crossover, also makes its motor show debut at Frankfurt. Previously revealed overseas only to members of the European media, there has been an air of mystery surrounding the Stonic. Shown for the first time to the public outside of Korea, the Stonic was greeted with much enthusiasm by curious and anticipating fans.

 

 

Even at a casual glance, the Kia Stonic is an eye-catchingly confident model boasting an SUV-inspired design majoring on style, technology and personality. With countless customizable aesthetic and driving features, Kia hopes to conquer the fast-growing compact crossover vehicle segment in Europe. 

 

Picanto X-Line & Upgraded Sorento

 

 

Kia Picanto, one of our best-selling compact cars, has been turbocharged and reborn. The new Picanto X-Line, equipped with a 1.0-liter turbocharged gasoline direct engine, broadens the appeal of the model. Our most powerful Picanto yet, this newly enhanced version draws inspiration from Kia’s SUV models as a small but unstoppable, go-anywhere city car.

 

 

Alongside the Picanto X-Line, Kia’s third-generation Sorento has also been enhanced. The newly upgraded model makes its overseas premiere in Frankfurt with a host of improvements. Most notable is the application of Kia’s cutting-edge 8-speed transmission as well as numerous new safety and driving assistance features.

 

 

For the first time, the Sorento is also available in a ‘GT-Line’ specification, offering even more style, dynamics and performance. The upgraded Sorento will be more performance-oriented than ever, and with the new transmission, will deliver more power with significantly reduced carbon emissions.

 

 

Kia’s exhibit at this year Frankfurt Motor Show is sure to impress and delight, offering attractive and interesting options for just about everyone.
