New Kia K900 Previewed in Official Design Sketch

The next Kia K900 has been previewed in an official design sketch released by the Korean automaker this week.

The new K900 was designed by experts at both Kia’s global design headquarters in Namyang, Korea and the brand’s US design studio in Irvine, California. Some standout details on the new sedan, according to Kia, include the ‘Quadric pattern’ grille, which it says has 176 jewel-shaped cells, along with the ‘Duplex comet’ headlamps and various chrome trim.

The new K900 will go on sale in the second quarter of 2018 following a debut that will likely occur at the 2018 New York International Auto Show later this month. There’s no word on the platform or engine lineup, but it seems likely it will ride on Hyundai and Kia’s large architecture used in the current K900 and Genesis G80 and G90. Its 3.3-liter Lambda V6 engine also seems to be a likely candidate to power the redesigned four-door.
