Kiaclub Nieuwsrobot Geplaatst 2 Januari, 2013 Geplaatst 2 Januari, 2013 Hyundai and Kia are making a change to their telematics setups, announcing today that both companies will be integrating Google Maps into their vehicles navigation systems. Both Kia’s UVO system and Hyundai’s Blue Link will now use Google Maps to search for locations and directions, and Google Places to find points of interest and information about them. This will make finding locations and information easier as Google Maps and Google Places are constantly being updated with new information. Voice activated point of interest searching will also be available with the Google-powered systems. Additionally, a cell phone app will be available that will allow the car owner to send directions to their car, which will be ready to use next time the owner sets out on a drive. For Kia, the Google-powered UVO setup will debut in the 2014 Sorento, while Hyundai did not reveal which vehicle will get the system first.
