Compared to the 2013 base model Sorento, the 2014 model year will see a price increase of $1,000 to $24,950 including an $850 destination charge. The price increase is justified however by not only the exterior redesign, but a new engine and more optional comfort. According to the Korean automaker, more than 80 percent of its Sorento is new or significantly redesigned for the 2014 model year. The more luxurious and option-packed SX has a starting price of $35,850 while the top-of-the-line Limited FWD V6 will run $38,850. All-wheel drive is available as an option for all trim models for an additional $1,700. The 2014 Kia Sorento will go on sale later this year in winter.
