The timeline for when the updates will be coming was not revealed by the representative, but the 2014 model year is likely. If the changes carry over unchanged from the updated Hyundai Sonata, the Kia Optima Hybrid will be rated at 38 mpg combined, 40 mpg highway and 36 mpg city.
