Kiaclub Nieuwsrobot
Kia has introduced an all-new CUB concept at the 2013 Seoul Motor Show, showing off a compact four-door coupe concept to the world. Designed at Kia headquarters in Seoul, the CUB concept is less than 13-feet long and features rearward-opening doors for an “access-all-areas” interior concept. That means the little four-door coupe doesn’t have traditional B-pillars. Inside, there’s four individual seats trimmed in black leather with yellow color accents. Sleek and small, the CUB was designed under the direction of President and Chief Design Officer, Peter Schreyer. The latest interpretation of Kia’s signature grille now features a shallower design that incorporates the turbocharger’s air intake. The headlights sport two-point LED lights and large 19-inch wheels fill up the wheel arches. In the rear, LED taillights accentuates the width of the vehicle. The CUB concept is powered by a 1.6-liter GDI engine paired with a twin-scroll turbocharger that’s good for 201 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque. It’s the same powerplant found in the new pro_cee’d GT and cee’d GT sold in Europe.
