Does Hyundai‘s luxury brand, Genesis, really have what it takes to compete with the popular BMW 3 Series? The Korean automaker introduced its new G70 this year looking to compete in the already crowded luxury segment. With a sporty appearance and a luxurious interior, the big question is whether the G70 can hold its own on the road against models that have decades of history.

Volkswagen is on a long ride to win back the trust of consumers after its massive diesel scandal. One of those steps is offering a three-row SUV, an extremely important model for the North American market. Just one look at the Atlas and it’s clear the Atlas was made specifically for the U.S., and the German automaker is further boosting its image by building it at its plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee. But is it a worthy competitor in a segment that’s growing at a rapid pace?

The Toyota C-HR had an interesting history before it event went on sale. The funky crossover started its life as an offering for the Scion brand but it never even went on sale before Toyota decided to kill off Scion. Now it sits in Toyota’s lineup, as a youth-oriented crossover with odd styling, much like the Nissan Juke. But now the compact crossover segment is getting much more crowded, with new additions such as the Hyundai Kona heading to dealers. Our review answers the question of whether the C-HR can really compete.

As the second vehicle to ride on Subaru’s new global platform that will eventually underpin most of its future models, the new Crosstrek has been very popular with our readers. More crossover than car, the Crosstrek is an interesting offering in the market, much like the Subaru Outback. It boasts plenty of versatility and interior space, but are all the changes for the better?

2017 kia niro

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you should know crossovers are really popular right now in the U.S. Like, really, really popular. So how do you make a crossover even more sought after? By making it a hybrid, just like the Kia Niro. And then as icing on the cake, you give it one of the most competitive prices imaginable. The result is a vehicle that at least on paper, is a clear winner, but we all know specifications never tell the full story. Thankfully you guys have AutoGuide.com to let you know how the Niro really drives.

volkswagen gti vs golf r

We put both vehicles to the test on Germany’s Autobahn, and you might be surprised to hear the answer isn’t so straight forward… or is it?
