Onze Kia geeft telkens de foutcode P0421 (katalyst below bank 1), dit heeft betrekking op de katalysator. Hij gaf eerst een misfire aan, bobine omgewisseld leverde geen andere foutcode op en ook geen misfire meer. Deze foutcode bleef terug komen. Lambda sensoren doorgemeten, oké. 1ste kat verwijderd, deze was compleet verpulverd. De 2de kat bevatte stukjes van de 1ste kat, dus 2 nieuwe kats aangeschafd. Voor (1ste kat) een rebuild (met metal kern) en achter een universele kat geplaatst. Liep in eerste instantie goed, maar dat werd steeds minder. Dit werd zo erg dat de auto aan de binnenkant rookte. De zitting van de passagier links is gedeeltelijk weggesmolten en de 1ste kat ook. Verder zoeken levert een defecte bobine op.Nu mijn vraag m.b.t. het kip en ei verhaal: wat was er eerste? De kapotte kat of de kapotte bobine?P.S. de uitlaat aan de linker passagierskant wordt altijd al erg heet, zoon klaagt over een hete kont bij een lange rit. Oplossing? Lees het hele artikel

Sinds februari een Venga met navigatie. Deze is reeds tot driemaal toe vervangen. Loopt telkens vast op verschillende manieren. Ofwel de achtteruitrijcamera dan navigatie of iets anders. De laatste maal met het aanmelden van m'n GSM (nokia N8) op BleuTooth. Kreeg toen de mededeling van m'n dealer (ingewonnen via Kia NL) dat dit het probleem opleverde mijn Nokia dus. Nu lijkt het mij sterk dat via deze verbinding problemen kunnen onstaan of het moet zijn dat het ligt het het dubbel-din app. zelf en niet m'n Nokia want deze werkt met elk ander BleuTooth app. cq vebinding. Hello! Today, I’d like to talk to you about the Optima Hybrid. We couldn’t take our eyes off the Optima Hybrid when we saw its combination of futuristic details with the simplicity of its straight lines and environment-friendly features. Let’s take a closer look at the Optima Hybrid in its eco-friendly outfit. ❶ The Optima Hybrid’s Unique Design Features The Optima Hybrid implements dynamic attributes to differentiate its appearance from the current Optima by including the environment-friendly features that hybrid vehicles pursue. The Optima hybrid especially emphasizes an eco-friendly and modern image with its high-quality materials. As a foundation, the front features Kia’s design identity trademark, the ‘tiger nose’ radiator grille and highlights a high-tech image for further differentiation. In addition, it offers a more dynamic and stable profile than the existing Optima by applying more refined materials to its sides. The rear contributes to an improved aerodynamic performance with a wide and bold appearance including the details at the bottom part of the bumper. In the interior, high-performance images and modernity are stressed with the application of eye-catching black hairline metal finishing parts that create a futuristic look. The Optima also uses a gun-metal color scheme, only used in hybrid cars, concentrated in the button arrangement placed in the center fascia console, which helps to establish the Optima Hybrid’s unique identity. ❷ Unique Cluster and Graphics for Optima Hybrid The supervision cluster applied to the Optima Hybrid is a cluster seen only in hybrid cars and was developed for economical driving as well as lowering CO2 emissions. The Optima Hybrid’s supervision cluster, which allows drivers to enjoy economical driving with various game graphics concepts, includes a 4.2-inch color TFT-LCD displaying a variety of useful information. Additionally, it supports fuel-efficient driving through an ECO Guide gauge. The ECO Guide gauge provides information about driving conditions, such as necessary power system efficiencies, driver control conditions and optimum driving conditions to help drivers achieve more fuel-efficient driving. The economical driving system of the Optima Hybrid supervision cluster enables drivers to enjoy driving through “ECO Level” and “Total ECO Score.” ECO Level is based on the concept of collecting points through economical driving. As the driving becomes more economical, the ECO Level increases from stage one to stage eight, level by level, displaying changes in graphics. The Total ECO Score first starts from point “0” with the new release of a car and accumulates one point when the ECO Level reaches the top stage. The graphics change every 200 points leading up to 1000 points, making drivers feel like they are playing a fun game and encouraging them to drive economically. In addition, it shows the nine energy flow conditions of the hybrid car, which has multiple energy sources from the engine and electric motor, to instantly let drivers know about the vehicle’s current conditions, such as engine driving, motor driving, simultaneous engine and motor driving, regenerative braking battery charging and more. The system provides information about which power source the car is currently using and indicates the state of its motor and engine with different colors during motor charge, motor assist, engine output and braking. In this way, the Optima Hybrid allows drivers to experience the environmentally-friendly features that will be major aspects of the future auto industry in a fun and easy way. Smith Photography Road America’s victory was the second win for Kinetic Motorsports and Kia Motors America in the 2011 season and the third time for the drivers of the #10 car to stand on the podium. A highlight video below details Kia’s remarkable entry and success into the racing world. After the race, Nic Jönsson (#10 Infinity Audio Forte Koup driver) said, “We were very concerned coming here because it’s one of those tracks with long straightaways. It is a track where turbo- and supercharged cars would be very strong, which they were. There is also a lot of handling needed here, and we had a very good handling car. Brake management was very important, and we really focused on that. When I got in, I felt I had a really good car and that the brakes were on point. I think that won the race for us. We worked a lot on the handling and it was great on brakes. This track tends to eat the brakes up, and we had discussed that I was to run a pace that was comfortable and to make sure I gave the car to Nic with good brakes for the end. I had a great start. With their latest victory at Road America in the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, Kia moves to the top of the team and driver’s standings in the Street Tuner class. Not bad for a team that’s only two years old. Drivers Michael Galati and Nic Jonsson won in the number 10 Kia Forte Koup at the Road America 200 in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. During the two and a half hour race, the two fended off multiple challengers and stayed in the top five for more than half the time, before moving onto first place and holding onto the lead for the last 30 minutes. The Kia ended the race in a spectacular yellow-flagging accident, but by then its victory had already been sealed. “We went to Road America knowing the course’s long straights and elevation changes provided a significant challenge, especially against some of our turbocharged competitors, but the Kinetic Motorsports team did an amazing job preparing both Forte Koups,” said Michael Sprague, Kia’s vice president of marketing. “The team’s strategy allowed Nic and Michael to use the braking and cornering portions of the track to their advantage.” The Road America 200 will be broadcast on SPEED Channel on Sunday, July 3rd at 1pm EST. From the Adventures in Advertising files come a series of ads for Kia that are evidently too racy for their cars (that themselves aren’t). The ads hail from Brazil, where you think they would have an eye for this sort of thing. But Kia, a family-friendly carmaker with a full line of family-friendly toddler schleppers, is distancing itself from these cartoons that depict two things: a safe, innocent fairy tale on the left, and a hotter version on the right that leads into the back page of Oui. The ads are supposed to tout Kia’s dual-zone climate controls, which may require a stretch of the imagination that advertising bloggers possess in spades. Kia Motors America has made it painstakingly clear (through a press release) that they don’t want or have anything to do with all of this sexy sex business, and that their cars do not represent the sort of sexy sexiness that these highly sexual, sex-laden ads are sexily promoting. “Kia Motors America (KMA) has become aware of an offensive piece of advertising material that was created by an ad agency in Brazil that KMA has no business relationship with and has never worked with,” reads the release. “This ad was not created in the U.S. by Kia Motors America or any of its marketing partners and does not reflect the opinions or values of KMA or Kia Motors Corporation. The ad is undoubtedly inappropriate, and on behalf of Kia Motors we apologize to those who have been offended by it. We can guarantee this advertisement has never and will never be used in any form in the United States, and our global headquarters in Seoul, South Korea is addressing the issue with the independent Brazilian distributor.” For Kia, it’s back to hamsters—possibly the least sexy of animals—and the fact that these cartoons would break down into cognitive dissonance against the wholesomeness of Yo Gabba Gabba, a children’s show that does not feature sultry schoolgirls with exposed belly buttons. Kia Picanto start soms niet=================Sinds enkele weken gebeurt het soms dat de motor niet meer wil starten.Door een tijdje te wachten en opnieuw proberen start hij (tot nu toe tenminste) weer.Daarna is er soms dagen niets aan de hand.Het is geheel onvoorspelbaar wanneer het probleem weer optreed.Kan iemand mij vertellen wat ik kan proberen om te weten te komenwaar de oorzaak zit b.v. Een riem springt nooit zonder reden.Of iets tussen gekomen,of idd blokkering of zwaar lopen.Of spanner kapot.Maar het komt bij dit type auto iets te vaak voor en dan is het geen toevalligheid meer.Het is volgens mij een mitsubishi blok,maar wel met de aanmaak toleranties van kia,een licentie motor zogezegd.Het zou kunnen dat de motor van de mitsubishi space wagon ook zou kunnen passen.Maar dat weet ik niet,daarop is dit model gebaseerd.Net zoals bij de hyundai H200,daar past bijv het blok van de mitsubishi L400 in.
