It may not be hot weather yet in Seoul, but our all-new Picanto is certainly heating things up! This is the second generation Picanto, known as Morning in some markets, and it was one of the most surprising A-segment vehicles I’ve ever driven. To be honest, I had a prejudice about A-segment car as most Korean men have. But all my prejudices were challenged during a drive on city streets last week when I had access to Picanto’s most basic models with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Exterior of the new Picanto was bold and unique. I liked its front grille and side character line – those two elements represent that new Picanto’s double sidedness, sportiness and ‘cute’ appeal. Here are some photos that show the difference between the previous generation and the all-new Picanto. We drove a basic model but there were some vast improvements over the first generation Picanto with features that would normally be reserved for vehicles in B-segments or at higher price points. Instead, on this cold winter day, I enjoyed the heated steering wheel and seats, along with great convenience features like AUX and USB functions, rear parking assist, electric folding outside mirrors and a runway style illuminated vanity mirror. The heated steering wheel was the best option by far and I wanted to transplant it to my car! It only takes about two minutes to warm up the steering wheel and I was happy to warm up my hands! Here’s a video of electric folding outside mirrors, a runway style illuminated vanity mirror and cup holder. The interior of the new Picanto was roomy and comfortable. And its interior design was simple and driver-oriented. I especially thought the steering wheel was sporty and I liked its grip more than my car! (I own a Forte Koup, by the way.) Front seats give plenty of space for legroom and headroom. The rear seats were not as roomy as the front but still gives enough space for rear passengers. Leg room is longer in the front and head room is plentiful. I measure 5’6” (about 169cm) while my passenger is 5’9” (176cm) and we could both comfortably fit in the front and back with plenty of leg and head space left over. About luggage space, the rear trunk is about 200L and although that’s not enough space for me, it’s enough space for daily commuting from your home to work.  If you want to be on trip with a lot of luggage with two or one more person, you can fold the 6:4 split rear seat to load more luggage. As you see we managed to fit our selves comfortably in the rear space The drive was stable and controlled with a lot more power in the Kappa 1.0 engine than I would have guessed. I even couldn’t recognize that I’m driving A-segment. The noise level in the cabin was low and vastly improved upon. It was a great ride and we hope you all enjoy the driving experience with the all-new Picanto as much as I did – once it becomes available in your countries. ik ben een probleem met mijn bluetooth verbinding ben in het bezit van een samsung omnia pro b7330 windows phone en ik kan geen gebruik maken van de handsfree functie elke keer als ik mij aanmeld gaat het goed en dan kan ik ook bellen maar als ik de verbinding verbreek dan slaat het hele systeem vast en dan doet niets het meer zelfs de radio nietbij de garage zeggen ze eerst de radio uit zetten dan de auto uit doen de auto starten dan e radio aan en dan verbinding maken met de telefoon maar helaas niets helpt nu zeggen ze dat het aan het aan mijn telefoon ligt die te nieuw is voor het systeemkent iemand het probleem en wat is er aan te doen en welke telefoon kan er wel goed op View the full article

Koelvloeistof bijgevuld en goed ontlucht.kachel wordt nu goed warm en temperatuurpeil blijft eindelijk in het midden zolas het hoort. Kia has just released the first details and photos of the new Rio sub-compact ahead of its world premiere at the Geneva Auto Show in March. A sister car to the Hyundai Accent (details on the 2012 model here), the Rio gets a unique styling and for now will only be available as either a 3-door or 5-door hatchback. The 2012 Hyundai Accent, revealed at the Montreal Auto Show, will be sold as both a 5-door hatch and a sedan. The new car is 2-inches longer, one inch wider and roughly half an inch lower than the outgoing model, with a wheelbase that has increased by almost three inches – which should notably improve rear seat room. Details on the U.S.-spec model are not yet available, but the European versions will get either a 69-hp 1.1-liter diesel, or a turbocharged gasoline direct-injection (GDI) 1.2-liter that’s touted to get as much as 50-mpg. When it does arrive in the U.S., it should share the Accent’s direct-injection 138-hp 1.6-liter 4-cylinder that makes 123 ft-lbs of torque. All-new Rio has its own interpretation of Kia’s signature grille, integrated with the headlamps to give a new twist on the Kia family look. In profile, the body to glass ratio and its strong wedge form give new Rio a dynamic sporty stance. The balance of the window graphic, wheelbase and overall proportions generates a ‘premium presence’ which is rare in this segment. Overall, new Rio combines European finesse with Korean spice to create a form language that communicates Latin flair. The new model features a wheelbase extended by 70 mm (to 2,570 mm) and promises greater passenger space and comfort, together with increased cargo capacity to 292 liters (hatchback) and 390 liters (sedan). Exterior dimensions changes include: +55 mm (overall length), -15 mm (height) and +25 mm (overall width) to enhance the feeling of sportiness. Inside, the new model will deliver a high level of quality previously associated with larger models – together with a wide selection of trim options. Kia’s B-segment newcomer will be manufactured with an extensive range of six fuel-efficient and low-CO2 engines – from a 1.1-liter diesel unit generating 70 ps in Europe, up to a 1.6-liter GDI gasoline engine producing 140 ps for North America – with the powertrain selection tailored to best suit individual markets and local consumer preferences. An all-new, high-performance 1.2-liter Turbo Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) will also be available in Europe from 2012. Since its launch in 2005, global sales of the current-generation Rio have totalled more than 860,000 units. It was the company’s third best-selling vehicle in overseas markets during 2010 with sales of more than 219,000 units. The world premiere of the new Kia Rio will be celebrated at the Geneva International Motor Show on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 – alongside another all-new product for Kia, the next generation Picanto city car – during its press conference, taking place at 16.15 (CET) on the Kia stand in Hall 6. Also being displayed at Geneva, and making its European debut, is the innovative hybrid version of Kia’s stunning Optima sedan, scheduled to go on sale in the US market later this year.
