Kia unveils some pricing and ownership details for the 2023 Niro Crossover. The Kia Niro was fully redesigned for the 2023 model year, but until now, pricing has been purely speculative. For 2023, the Kia Niro will start at $27,785 for the base LX trim, $30,385 for the mid-tier EX trim, and $33,785 for the topmost SX trim. These prices include the $1,295 destination fee. The SX and EX trim has an available touring package, that adds attractive styling touches.” Keep in mind, this is for the hybrid Niro, pricing on the PHEV or full EV Niro hasn’t been released yet. Still, Kia is making things easier for Niro EV owners, though. The brand is including 500 kilowatt-hours worth of free charging sessions, courtesy of Electrify America. These free DC fast charging sessions allow the Kia Niro EV to travel up to 1,950 miles, depending on driving style and driving conditions. “With the launch of the new Niro EV, we are expanding our collaboration with Electrify America to enable Niro EV drivers to experience all-electric road trips with the added benefit of quick recharging,” said Steven Center, COO & EVP, Kia America. The Kia Niro’s onboard navigation should be able to easily navigate to Electrify America stations, too. Owners will have three years from their Niro purchase to cash in on the free charging credits. Currently, the 2023 Kia Niro Hybrid is en route to US dealers now and should go on sale shortly. The Kia Niro PHEV and Kia Niro EV should come later. Become an AutoGuide insider.
