Kia Motors is on a roll, winning another award at the Los Angeles Auto Show. In addition to the K900 (Qurois), the Kia Sorento also caught the attention of many people, especially among the Hispanic community. Kia Motors top-selling crossover utility vehicle, the 2014 Sorento, was recently named one of the “Top 10 Cars of the Year” by the Hispanic Motor Press Awards. Bobine/bougie problemen of mengsel problemen?N.B.: De vertaling van de foutcode is niet helemaal perfect.De opwarming is niet het probleem. What is the Standard Bank People’s Wheels Awards? The People’s Wheels Awards is a competition that prides itself as the voice of the South African motor consumer. All vehicles are judged in their respective categories and the outcome is solely based on the general public’s votes. This year, there was a wide range of contestants, ranging from budget city cars to hot hatches to super cars, in a total of 30 categories. Kia Motors was honored in three categories: - Best Budget Buy: Kia Picanto - Best SUV/Crossover: Kia Sportage - Ownership Brand Champion: Kia Motors South Africa joint 3rd place The Kia Picanto was crowned as the winner of the “Budget Buy” category for the third consecutive year, scoring the majority of the votes beating competitors such as the Chevrolet Spark and the Hyundai i10. This year, the Kia Sportage also took top honors in its nominated category, and was announced as the winner in the “Best SUV/Crossover” category. The competition also introduced a new category this year called the “Ownership Brand Champion Category”, and Kia Motors South Africa was awarded a joint 3rd place with Honda South Africa. Other Kia models were well represented including the Kia Rio as a contender in the “Compact Hatch” category and the Kia Cerato in the “Contemporary Hatches and Sedans” category. Kia winning three awards is a critical achievement. “One of our biggest objectives at Kia Motors South Africa is to create top of mind awareness and familiarity in the mindset of the South African consumer. To date, our marketing efforts have been very aggressive, and to be recognized in this category is evidence of how far we have come as a brand”, commented David Sieff, Marketing Director at Kia Motors South Africa. Oke, inmiddels dus de vlotter eruit gehad maar er was geen lossen draad te vinden. Heb nog met een multimeter de vlotter eruit gehaald en doorgemeten maar deze gaf verschillende waardes aan als ik het mechanisme van de vlotter bewoog. Uiteindelijk vandaag de Kia Rio verkocht met dit euvel. Mensen waren er tevreden mee want de tank was tot de nok aan toe gevuld.Bedankt voor de toelichting. Kia is recalling nearly 80,000 Sedona minivans for a faulty suspension part that can break and possibly lead to loss of control. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the cause of the recall is the lower control arms near the wheels, which can rust and break due to salt exposure. The recall affects Sedona vehicles from the 2006 through 2012 model years that were sold or registered in 20 cold-climate states where salt is used to clear the roads in the winter time. The affected states are: Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Wisconsin, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, Ohio, Rhode Island, West Virginia and Washington, D.C. Nappa leather upholstery, a V8 powering the back half and reclining rear seats; none of those would make sense in a Kia-branded products a few years ago but things are changing quickly. Hyundai led the way with its Genesis and Equus sedans, and now Kia is following suit by bringing the K900 to North America. Called the K9 in other parts of the world where it is already sold, the car comes standard with 3.8-liter V6 or an optional 5.0-liter “Tau” V8. Sound familiar? It should because this is a derivative product that shares much of its DNA with the Hyundai Genesis and Equus. The V6 makes 311 hp while the V8 pumps out 420. Both engines are matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission, although Kia adjusted the gear ratios to suit both mills individually. Kia hasn’t released fuel consumption estimates yet and pricing will remain unannounced until closer to the K900′s arrival in dealers during the first quarter of next year. Nappa leather is offered, but the standard equipment list doesn’t include it. Instead, buyers get “high-grade” leather at the entry level – whatever it may be. Genuine wood inlays are also available in white sycamore or dark “charcoal” poplar. The front seats include heating and cooling on all models, while the “VIP” package brings chilled chairs to the back as well. An available technology package adds an “Around View” parking monitor to give drivers a bird’s eye view while backing up. Other safety features include land departure warnings, adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring. Kia’s first cross traffic alert system is included with the V8 models. Pre-tensioning seatbelts, collision warnings and pre-pressurized braking before an anticipated collision as also part of Kia’s “Advanced Vehicle Safety Management system. It also features the largest TFT instrument panel of any product from the brand so far. The 12.3-inch color display can be configured with a variety of themes depending on which drive mode is selected. There’s also a 900-watt stereo with 17 speakers scattered through the car. Just like Hyundai’s high-end sedans, rear seat passengers have access to climate controls via a panel build into the fold-down center arm rest. Kia’s push into the premium segment hasn’t been as aggressive as Hyundai’s.
