J.D. Power and Associates’ 2013 Initial Quality Study (IQS) has ranked the Kia Soul and Kia Sportage as leaders in the Compact Multi-Purpose Vehicle and Sub-Compact CUV segments, respectively, in the U.S. And, for the first time, Kia ranks among the automotive industry’s top 10 nameplates for initial quality. The 2013 Soul ranked first in the Compact MPV segment for the second consecutive year,and the Sportage tied for the highest ranking in the Sub-Compact CUV category. “Kia Motors is committed to building vehicles that are defined by award-winning design,fun-to-drive performance and world-class quality,and the Soul and Sportage epitomize these attributes,” said Byung Mo Ahn,group president and CEO,Kia Motors America (KMA) and Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia (KMMG). “Achieving top-ten status within the industry reflects just how far the Kia brand has come in improving the ownership experience and vehicle quality for our customers and advancing value to new levels of sophistication across our entire model line.” According to the IQS study, Kia made substantial improvements with gains that outpaced the industry average and resulted in the brand’s best-ever score. The annual report analyzed responses from 83,442 respondents about 230 vehicle models and attributes across eight categories,including the driving experience,engine and transmission and a broad range of quality problem symptoms reported by vehicle owners. mijn snaar piepte een tijdje geleden. vaak als ik de airco aanzette of als ik door een plas reed. ik heb de snaar toen laten vervangen en sinsdien piept de snaar bij het starten en als ik de aitco aanzet, piept altijd bij laag toerentalsinds 2 weken als ik een koude start had dan had de auto moeite met aanblijven. heel laag toerental en de piepende snaar.sinds gisteravond heb ik geen accuspanning meer.wat kan ik doen? Kia Motors has been named 37th in Interbrand’s list of the 50 Best Global Green Brands 2013, a debut for the Korean car manufacturer in the annual ranking of sustainability and environmental performance of the world’s 100 most valuable brands. Interbrand assesses businesses based on market perception and the actual environmental performance of the company and its products and services. This latest recognition by Interbrand follows hot on the heels of Kia’s recent introduction to the 100 Best Global Brands 2012 rankings, in which Kia placed 87th. According to the 50 Best Global Green Brands 2013 study, Kia has placed eco-management at the forefront of its brand management strategy alongside its emphasis on quality and design management since 2006. Under this initiative, Kia has made huge strides in improving the performance of its vehicles, with a strong focus on enhancing fuel efficiency and a long-term aim for zero-emission vehicles. As a result of its efforts, Kia continues to be perceived as a leader in the environmental sustainability sector. “In our view, the best green brands are those that are not only vital, relevant, powerful and pioneering, but also profitable, ethical and ecologically responsible. We applaud Kia Motors’ efforts aimed at sustainability in all facets of its global operations that have enabled the company to be named as one of our Best Global Green Brands 2013,” said Jez Frampton, Global CEO of Interbrand. Kia’s commitment to increasingly efficient mobility is realized partly through the introduction of the latest green technologies to its growing range of products under the EcoDynamics umbrella to ensure the company remains ahead of global emissions regulations and continuously improves average fuel consumption of its entire product line-up. This includes the development of hybrid powertrains for the brand’s Forte model in Korea and Optima model in global markets, plug-in electric vehicles, full-electric vehicles and even hydrogen fuel-cell electric vehicles. For the seventh year in a row, Kia Motors is the proud title sponsor of the Kia World Extreme Games (formerly known as ‘Kia X Games Asia’), which resonates strongly with sports and car enthusiasts around the world. From June 9 to 12, 2013, Kia vehicles and branded kiosks will be situated around the competition venue, providing visitors to the event in Shanghai, China with the chance to experience the extreme side of Kia. Hallo,Mijn sportage trilt voor erg bij het remmen, nu zag ik gisteren dat 1 van de 2 centreer bouten van de schijf is afgebroken, kan dit de oorzaak zijn of zijn de schijven gewoon krom.Als het wiellager vervangen moet worden, moet je schijf er dan af, want ik heb het lager laten vervangen en sindsdien trilt hij zo.Bedankt voor de reacties.Gr Wim Lees het hele artikel

Kia has launched its marketing campaign for its 2014 Cadenza, attempting to break into the luxury market with its $35,100 sedan. The first ad has launched, titled “Impossible to Ignore” which reflects back on how much the Korean automaker has changed over the years. It features fashion model Teresa Moore as she takes the new Cadenza to her 20-year high school reunion. The commercial essentially plays on how a certain someone may have been ignored in the past but now is truly “impossible to ignore.” The 30-second spot hopes to give car buyers a reason to take a second look at Kia and features InFiction’s remix of “Let’s Dance,” originally by David Bowie.
