What is the SEMA Show? Have you ever heard of the SEMA Show? Wondering what SEMA stands for? It stands for Specialty Equipment Market Association and is the world’s largest automotive specialty products trade event. It was first held in 1963, and the event now takes place annually in the Las Vegas Convention Center, where a myriad of automakers and auto part manufacturers come to participate in the show. Of course, Kia made sure not to miss out. This year, Kia featured six one-of-a-kind sports-themed cars at the SEMA Show. Let’s take a look at these eye-catching rides! Surf-Themed Radical Rio Customized by Antenna magazine, the Radical Rio’s exterior gets a sunset-metallic golden-brown paint, custom body kit with a front splitter made of wood to match the surfboard on the roof and rear fascia with center-mount exhaust. To match its surf theme, the Rio’s rear center console was redesigned as a shelf to hold sun tan lotion, surfboard wax, bottled water and other items for fun in the sun. The best part is the rear hatch area, which has been modified to hold a retro style record player, mood lighting, shelves to hold sandals and clothes, and a retro gaming console that plays 80’s-style arcade games. The interior seats are even made from bathing suit material! Any surfers or beach lovers out there? How do you like this surfed-up Rio? Hockey-Hatch Forte Also designed by Antenna, the hockey-hatch Forte features aviator gray exterior paint with 18-inch blue wheels. This car may look simple on the outside, other than the unique blue wheels, but you will be surprised to see what is on the inside. This power-play Forte has a custom hockey stick holder that stretches from the trunk through the center of the vehicle into the cabin. Also, this hockey-themed car gets powder-blue jersey material on the seats, rubberized flooring which reminds us of the floor outside a skating rink, a mini air hockey table for hockey fans, four hockey sticks, two jerseys color-matched to the exterior, an ice skate rack and glove hooks. If you are a hockey fan, this custom car will surely grab your attention. “Slam Dunk” Blake Griffin Optima Hybrid Kia has extended its partnership with NBA All-Star Blake Griffin, who has starred in Kia Optima commercials. This time, Griffin has inspired a brand new version of Kia Optima Hybrid for this year’s SEMA show. Built by the world famous West Coast Customs (WCC), the Blake Griffin Optima Hybrid has a realistic basketball-textured appearance with Blake Griffin’s personal logo displayed on the hood. Inside the car, you will see basketball court flooring in the front and back and Blake Griffin’s autograph embroidered in the front headrests. Any die-hard Griffin fans? You could take this car to the hoops anytime! “Hole-In-One” Michelle Wie Soul Michelle Wie, who has been Kia Motors’ official golf ambassador and spokesperson since early 2010, has refreshed the 2012 Soul with her personal artwork. The striking “So Blue” and white House of Kolor custom paint scheme features many of the drawings and characters found on Wie’s golf bags. Inside the car, Wie’s fancy artwork and personal logo are embroidered into the seats, and two of Wie’s golf bags, which she actually used in her tournaments, are mounted behind a 26-inch LED Samsung TV. Michelle Wie’s amazing talent in design and WCC’s development of her artwork has created a truly one-of-a-kind vehicle for the Kia Soul. Rio B-Spec Racer Kia and Kinetic Motorsports, Kia’s racing partner, has unveiled the all-new 2012 Rio B-Spec racer, which will compete against a variety of subcompact cars. This car will enter a range of motorsports events sanctioned by various organizations, including World Challenge, GRAND-AM, Sports Car Club of America and the National Auto Sport Association. You can transform a 2012 Rio 5-door LX model into a racecar with the B-Spec kit, which is available for sale from Kinetic Motorsports. Good news for current and future racers! GoGoGear.com USTCC Optima Hybrid Pace Car The Kia Soul has been the official Safety Car of the United States Touring Car Championship (USTCC) since March 2010. The 2012 Chrysler Town & Country, Dodge Grand Caravan, and Volkswagen Routan all earned Top Safety Pick awards from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). These vehicles, which all share the same structure, earned high marks when it came to providing protection in rollover crashes, garnering the highest rating of Good in front-, side-, rollover- and rear-crash protection. These three minivans join the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna as Top Safety Picks. Two vehicles that didn’t make the grade were the Kia Sedona and Nissan Quest minivans. These vehicles didn’t fair very well when it came to the rollover category, but earned Good scores in all the other tests. Overall, the Sedona earned a Poor rollover rating while the Quest achieved an Acceptable score. “Safety-conscious parents shopping for a family hauler should be pleased with today’s minivan choices,” said David Zuby, the Institute’s chief research officer. “At the same time, the ratings show that major differences remain in this segment when it comes to protection in a rollover crash.” To determine rollover protection, the strength of a vehicle’s roof is measured by pushing a metal plate against the roof at a constant speed. To earn a Good rating, a vehicle has to be able to withstand up to four times its weight. Heb de problemen gelezen maar deze hebben allemaal betrekking op Picanto's van 2005 en ouder. Mijn Picanto is van 2008. Dealer zegt overigens dat zij de krukasproblemen kennen maar dit niet als oorzaak zien van mijn klacht. Moet dan vaker voorkomen en ook bij warme motor volgens hen. Nu weer wachten tot het zich weer voordoet en dan met draaiende motor weer naar de dealer rijden en uitlezen. Een gebed zonder eind lijkt het. Lees het hele artikel

Met de koude motor merk je het het eerst, later, als het probleem erger wordt (lees de timing nog verder verspringt) zul je het ook met een hete motor gaan merken.Informeer eens bij je Kia dealer naar dit probleem, Kia stelt zich vrij coulant op en wij hebben alle krukassen nog onder coulance kunnen vergoeden. Ook Picanto's van 2004 zelfs nog. Dit euvel is bekend en Kia heeft in Tros-radar de belofte gedaan alle Picanto rijders kostenloos te stellen. Voor zover wij zien doen ze dit ook. Wat bullet zegt klopt wel,volgens mij trad het eerder op als je er eentje met airco had.De timing klopt niet meer met als gevolg dit probleem.Dat het alleen voorkomt omdat tie koud is heeft te maken met de verrijking van het mengsel.Word niet op tijd ontstoken met als gevolg overslag en daardoor een natte bougie die niet goed meer ontsteekt en dat heb je minder als tie warm is.de dealer heeft er zat binnen gehad,google er maar eens op.Maar ja,kia geeft nu 7 jaar garantie,toen was garantie nog tot aan de deur en lag het nooit aan hun produkten en wezen ze elke vorm van coulance van de hand. Aan de tussenbak loopt een rubber slangetje boven de aandrijf-'stang' die naar de voortrein ligt. Dit slangetje komt horizontaal uit de TOD en gaat dan recht om hoog, ongeveer 15 cm en stopt daar. Er lijkt een soort van metalen dopje los op te zetten en hier is blijkbaar ooit een slok olie uit gekomen.Is dit enkel een ontluchting? mag dit dopje er zo los opzitten? (mogelijk is het enkel een hoedje om te voorkomen dat er prut in valt)Ik probeer zo veel mogelijk van die auto te leren omdat ik m nog even op de weg hoop te houden, alvast bedankt voor de info. Kia has unveiled four custom models at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas today, with each car featuring a different sport as its theme. A custom Soul, built by West Coast Customs, is inspired by Michelle Wie, Kia’s official golf ambassador. A Rio 5-Door was built in partnership with Antenna featuring a Retro Surf theme. A custom Forte 5-Door “Hat Trick” sports a hockey theme while Kia continues its Blake Griffin collaboration with a “Slam Dunk” Optima Hybrid, also built by West Coast Customs. Michelle Wie’s “Hole-in-One” Soul features unmistakable original artwork by Wie herself, Kia’s official golf ambassador. The “So Blue” exterior paint scheme is offset by the custom artwork that can also be seen on the 20-inch wheels. Wie’s personal logo and artwork has also been embroidered in the Soul’s “Snow White” headrests while the dash has been painted baby blue and the headliner now rocks a stylish pink. Plenty of entertainment is in the rear with an Xbox 360 with Kinect while two of Wie’s tournament-used golf bags are mounted behind the 26-inch LED TV. The “Retro Surf” Rio 5-Door is outfitted with everything a surfer needs in a retro-styled package. An authentic Grain wood surfboard has been mounted on the roof while a set of 17-inch Rotiform gold wheels really sets off the sunset-metallic golden-brown paint scheme. A custom body kit features a front splitter made of wood. On the inside, plaid boardshorts-themed brown and beige fabric adorns the interior while the center console features a retro wood grain theme. And to ensure everyone is nice and safe at the beach, the rear center console features a shelf to hold sunblock and other beach accessories. Following up on Blake Griffin’s amazing dunk off a Kia, the Optima Hybrid built by West Coast Customs is probably the most basketball we’ll get during the lockout. The outside orange paint features a unique basketball theme further accented by 20-inch wheels and Griffin’s personal logo on the hood. Basketball-court flooring is in the front, rear and trunk areas while a “Pop-A-Shot” basketball hoop has been mounted in the trunk for some off-court entertainment. The cleanly-built “Hat Trick” Forte 5-Door by Antenna features an ice-metallic gray exterior paint contrasted by 19-inch six-spoke blue wheels. A custom body kit was built onto a Forte Koup front bumper that also features carbon fiber accents and LED “hockey stick” fog lights. The headliner inside features a built-in hockey coach’s board while the rear-cargo houses four carbon fiber hockey sticks, two jerseys, an ice skate rack and glove hooks. Uitgeslagen krukas geeft bij de Picanto's foutcode's P0300 (random misfire). P0301(misfoire cil1), P0302(misfire cil2), P0303 (misfire cil3) of P0304 (misfire cil4). Alle varianten in willekeurige verschijningen. Motor houdt eveneens in.Door het uitslaan van het distributietandwiel op de krukas verloopt de timing tussen de krukas en nokkenas waardoor de computer denkt dat hij op het juiste moment ontsteekt, maar er in werkelijkheid een aantal graden langszit en daardoor de foutmelding geeft dat de ontsteking op een ander moment heeft plaatsgevonden dan de computer verwachtte (de misfire). De üitgeslagen"krukas is makkelijk te controleren door de krukaspoulie even te demonteren en te kijken of de schijf, die achter de poulie zit en de timing van de krukassensor bepaald, ronde kanten heeft op de uiteinden waarmee hij tegen de krukas aanligt. Roestvorming rondom het onderste krukastandwiel zegt vaak ook al genoeg. Deze klacht hebben we al diverse malen meegemaakt en 7-8 van de 10 keer was de boosdoener de krukas. Suc6. As promised Kia has unveiled its Rio B-Spec race car at the 2011 SEMA Show today, based on the brand’s all-new Rio 5-Door sub-compact. More of a kit than an actual race car, this is a project for the do-it-yourselfer. On top of the $13,600 price of a Rio, Kia’s racing partner Kinetic Motorsports will sell you a B-Spec kit for $14,000. It includes everything you need to transform the sub-compact into a budget racer, including a roll cage, racing seat, quick-release steering wheel, race harness, shocks, light weight wheels and spec-series tires, plus an oil sump pan expansion kit and…. (cue the Sweidsh IKEA voice) instructions. Want to go fast for cheap but don’t want to do it yourself? No problem, for a modest fee of $6,000 you can ship it all to the Kinetic Motorsports facility in Buford, Georgia and they’ll build your race car for you. The B-Spec Rio will be able to complete in various sanctioned events including World Challenge, GRAND-AM, the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) and National Auto Sport Association (NASA) races starting next year. De dealer heeft nu een foutcode kunnen uitlezen. Misfire cylinder 2. Bougies vervangen (bougiekabels waren al vervangen). Maar het probleem doet zich nog steeds voor. Omdat het probleem zich alleen bij koude motor voordoet, een paar straten verder en het is over, lijken het mij ook geen bougies of bougiekabels te kunnen zijn. MAAR WAT DAN WEL ??? After taking the championship in the Grand-Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge street tuner challenge this year, Kia is announcing further commitments to the world of motorsports. In addition to the 2012 Rio B-Spec racer, built by Kia Racing and Kinetic Motorsports, Kia has unveiled an Optima Hybrid pace car for the United States Touring Car Championship. The Optima, built by GoGoGear.com, actually replaces the modified Soul that severed last year. It may be a hybrid, but that doesn’t mean it has to be boring, already deliver over 200-hp in stock form the car gets a Magnaflow exhaust system and air intake kit. So it’s not sloppy when out on parade laps the car also gets a coilover suspension, and looks the part with a new aero kit (including front splitter and rear spoiler), plus the usual light bars. And no SEMA car would be a SEMA car without an over-the-top 2400-watt Infintiy audio system. Look for the Optima Hybrid Safety Car to first hit the track at the USTCC in March of 2012.
