It’s dramatic, it’s rear wheel drive and it is, quite simply, unlike anything Kia has ever done before. And it has proved to be one of the star attractions of this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. It began as an idea back in 2010 when Peter Scheyer, Kia’s Chief Design Officer and European Styling Chief Gregory Guillame, looked to building a concept in the spirit of the great European luxury Gran Turismos from the 1960s and early ’70s. “This concept allows us to explore exciting new design directions, as using a rear-drive layout creates very different proportions compared to a front-wheel drive car,” said Schreyer, who also added that the classic, front engined, rear-drive sports sedan has unique appeal, not for just a Korean audience, but Europeans and Americans as well. A key directive during the concept’s development was that the car be unmistakable for anything but a classic, front engined, rear-drive GT. Aeronautical themes are also popular as was the use of copper on components such as the brake discs and greenhouse trim; in the latter’s case running all the way from the front A-pillars to the edge of the back light. Inside, a spacious cabin sports several ‘floating’ features including the seats, which incorporate a ‘buffed’ leather surface to aid driver and passenger comfort, while a trio of LED layers for the instrument panel results in a 3 D effect, that helps free up the center console from the usual secondary control clutter. Powered by a 395 horsepower 3.3-liter Lambda direct-injection gas engine coupled with an eight speed automatic, Schreyer believes that as well as being a serious performance piece, the GT concept is less about design specifics and more about a general feeling of stance, proportion and balance – elements that will influence and guide his design team’s approach to their next project. “One of the great things about working on this project was that this is a very real car,” he said. “It felt good to be working on a car that could roll down the road tomorrow. It would be a dream to put this into production – not only does it have a logical layout, with four seats, and good luggage space; it’s also engaging and dynamic and makes a strong statement. Stationair omloop regeling vervuild of defect? Ooit eens gehad bij een Suzuki Baleno. Precies dezelfde symptomen als hier beschreven.Bij het stoplicht afremmen en dan pruttelde ie of viel uit. Stationair omloop was zeer vervuild en kwam niet meer terug in de gesloten toestand. Vervangen en duty-cycle opnieuw ingesteld in de software. Kia has been changing what people think about Korean cars for well over a year now thanks to some impressive designs, and now the automaker is looking to add some performance to its lineup with the new GT Concept – the first ever rear-drive vehicle by Kia. Set to be unveiled tomorrow at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show, the GT Concept is a rear-drive coupe-styled sedan that we can now confirm is powered by a turbocharged and direct-injection 3.3-liter V6 making 395-hp and 394 lb-ft of torque. Helping get power to the ground in a smooth and fuel efficient manner is an 8-speed automatic transmission. “This concept allows us to explore exciting new design directions, as using a rear-drive layout creates very different proportions compared to a front-wheel drive car,” says Peter Schreyer, Kia’s Chief Design Officer. ”The classic front-engined, rear-wheel drive layout of a performance saloon has distinct appeal not just for the domestic Korean audience, but also for the European and American markets.” Said to be inspired by iconic GT cars of the 1970s, the GT also takes design cues from the Kia Kee concept that debuted in Frankfurt back in 2007. Measuring 185-inches in length this 4-seater is roughly a foot shorter than the Hyundai Genesis sedan (on which it is believed to be based), putting it right in the same size category as the BMW 3 Series. Will Kia build the GT Concept.. or something like it? Hallo oldford het is niet echt duidelijk of het onmiddelijk na de reparatie is gekomen. Heb de bekabeling die van de schakelaar komt gevolgt en die komt niet in de buurt van de cilinderkop. Hij loopt in een bundel naar de doorvoer onder de rembekrachtiger dus zal ik daar dan moeten zoeken?gr harm Lees het hele artikel

Kortsluiting tussen de zekering en de schakelaar.Als het onmiddelijk na de reparatie is gekomen, dan denk ik bedrading vast geklemd ergens.Je zult dus in de buurt van de reparatie moeten zoeken. Lees het hele artikel

Heb zelf een Rio uit 2005 op LPG-G3.Heb dit probleem vorig jaar gehad, direct na de grote beurt.Hij was uitgelezen, bleek een misfire op de 4e bougie.Op benzine was het ook, alleen minder.Ook het Motor manag. ging branden. Men zij dat het aan het gas lag, doordat benzine minder problemen gaf.Bij de gasboer aangekomen en uitgelezen zij deze dat het aan de ontsteking lag en niet aan het LPG circuit lag.Vervolgens heeft de dealer deze een dag gehad om erachter te komen.Ik gaf zelf al aan dat het misschien wel een simpele ingreep was zoals electrodeafstand of de bougiekabel.Dit hadden ze nagekeken en doorgemeten en bleek in orde te zijn. Bij navraag hoe ze de kabel hebben doorgemeten zei men met een Ohm meter.Gezien mijn technische achtergrond wist ik dat je hierdoor niet goed kunt meten, doordat op zo'n klein stukje er altijd een minimale weerstand is. Hier zijn speciale meters voor die vroeger zelfs al op mijn oude school bestonden (20jr terug.) Hiermee sturen ze een hoge stroom door de kabel en kijken wat het verlies dan is.Men gaf toen toe het te weten maar deze niet in huis te hebben.Vervolgens hebben ze op mijn verzoek toch alleen op die 4e bougie een nieuwe kabel gezet en het probleem was verholpen.Waarom op LPG slechter dan op benzine zul je vragen? Het blijkt dat voor de ontsteking van LPG een betere vonk nodig is dan voor benzine.De garage stond ook even perplex van het simpele euvel. Lees het hele artikel

Hallo, het volgende probleem doet zich voor met de auto van mijn ouders.Sinds een reparatie aan de kleppen knalt de zekering eruit voor de achteruitrijlampen. Ook als je de stekker van de schakelaar eraf haalt en stroom erop zet ( dus de sleutel op contact) dan knalt zedlfs de zekering eral uit.Heb al gekeken bij de doorvoer bij de achterunits>>> is goed, bekabeling onder de motorkap lijkt ook alles goed.Wie weet raad en helpt ons met dit rare probleem.groeten Harm Lees het hele artikel

Gisteren deed hij het al na 2 km het niet meer met koude start. (was 21 graden 's ochtends) en 's middags en vroeg in de avond heeft hij het helemaal niet meer gedaan (was 25 graden of meer).Vanochtend deed hij het weer voor ongeveer 25km (was 16 graden.) The stunning design and value of the Optima has significantly increased awareness, perception and consideration for the Kia brand…” More than just a pretty face, the 2011 Optima is available with luxury and technology including a satnav/audio system with Sirius XM radio and live traffic, Bluetooth capability, USB and auxiliary input, and steering wheel integrated voice controls. The Optima is available with an economic 2.4 liter four cylinder producing 200 hp and 186 lb-ft of torque or a turbocharged 2.0 liter four cylinder producing 274 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. Finally, the Optima Hybrid provides the 2.4 liter combined with an electric motor, combining for 206 hp and 193 lb-ft of torque. Prices begin at $19,200. Rumored to be called “Veredus”, leaked photos of Kia‘s new rear-wheel drive performance sedan have emerged revealing that it will instead wear the simple “GT” badge – in concept form anyway. The next step in the design evolution of the Kia brand, the GT is bold look for a bold vehicle that will take the Korean automaker into a segment it has never before occupied. No details about the car’s powertrain have yet to be revealed, but expect to see a large V8 engine under the hood – perhaps the 429-hp 5.0-liter V8 from the new Hyundai Genesis R-Spec.
