An innovative new marketing campaign that highlights the complete transformation that Kia’s Picanto has undergone and the multitude of ‘grown-up’ features it now offers, went live. Promoting the theme “small but mighty”, the new campaign coincides with Picanto models arriving at European dealer showrooms, and is targeted at a new group of consumers – progressive, modern, mainstream car buyers. This shift reflects the change in appeal of the second-generation Picanto, moving from a focused pragmatic and rational choice to a more emotional, lifestyle-oriented purchase. Co-starring with Picanto in the new campaign is ‘Henry’ – a ‘small but mighty’ cat. Henry’s fun and inquisitive nature, remarkable agility and surprisingly big personality are used to reflect the new Picanto’s attributes in a full 360-degree campaign, which includes TV commercials, digital communications and print media. “Our ‘New Picanto. Small but Mighty’ campaign challenges the traditional view that a small car can’t be big on personality and design,” comments Benny Oeyen, Vice President Marketing and Product Planning, Kia Motors Europe. “This impactful, amusing and unusual multimedia campaign repositions the new Picanto as appealing to a very different target audience.” “Kia is a challenger brand with a great sense of creativity and style. This new campaign builds on that, and will continue to increase our visibility in the blogosphere and on social networks, enabling us to build even stronger connections with our target consumers.” The ‘Small but Mighty’ TV commercial showcases new Picanto’s striking style, inside and out, its premium equipment and remarkable 7-Year Kia Warranty. The spot shows Henry mastering various challenges and going through various adventures while hunting for the new Picanto. The Online campaign then shows the Picanto from Henry the cat’s point of view. His playful antics take viewers on a 360-degree guided tour of Kia’s new small car. A scattering of Polaroid photos (close-ups of Henry’s best features) use metaphors of the cat to highlight the car’s many great qualities. When Henry jumps inside the car, he finds an iPad and users can take control of his paw to explore a gallery of Picanto photos and videos. There’s also a special behind-the-scenes “Making the TV commercial” video filmed from the cat’s perspective in a funny and entertaining way. ‘Small but Mighty’ is the latest embodiment of a revolution in Kia marketing that echoes the transformation of its product line-up. Earlier this year, Kia created a humorous online pre-marketing campaign, an innovative blog “PicantoLeaks” (www.picantoleaks.com) in which a supposedly anonymous informer “revealed” incredible secrets about the new Kia Picanto. Throughout the campaign, across 11 European countries, questions such as “Why does the red paint of the new Picanto glow so mysteriously?”, “Who is behind the distinctive ‘face’ of Kia’s small car?” and “What happened when Kia went searching for an unusual shade of black?” were answered in the most unlikely and amusing ways. Ik ben opzoek een elektrisch schema voor de carens LX bouwjaar 2003. Dit in verband met aansluiten van een Jaeger stekker voor gebruik van de achteruit rijlamp bij de caravan en voor het plaatsen van een centrale deur vergrendeling met afstandbediening. De deur is wel voor zien van een centrale deur vergrendeling via de sleutel. Als men kan aangeven welke kabel ik nodig heb voor de achteruit rijlamp ben ik ook al geholpen. Those owning a 2004-2007 Kia Spectra should look out for a recall notice in the near future if they originally purchased it or currently registered in Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin and District of Columbia. The recall on the affected vehicles is for corrosion on the straps holding on the fuel tank due to road salt. If either strap separates, the fuel tank could fall from the vehicle and hit the ground, causing a fuel leak. In other words, not so good news for you or your car. houd in bij gasgeven heb gekeken nog niet aan de kast gehad kan deze niet uitlezen maar als ik de luchtmassa stekker er af trek is het goed zal het de luchtmassameter zijn Lees het hele artikel

Of het inderdaad een probleem met de brandstoftoevoer is weet ik niet. De auto houd namelijk in en dan gaat het lampje "sheck" branden. Als ik dan het gas loslaat dan gaat lampje uit en is het soms even verholpen. In het instructieboekje staat dat je het water in de brandstofpomp moet aflaten (is gebeurd). Eventueel brandstoffilter en luchtfilter vervangen (is ook gebeurd). Het euvel blijft echter bestaan. Er zijn ook dagen dat ik er geen last van heb. Kan iemand me helpen door te vertellen wat het nog zou kunnen zijn en waar ik moet zoeken. Alvast bedankt.Mathieu Lees het hele artikel

Mijn kia shuma trekt helemaal niet op, als ik gas geef dan lijkt het net alsof die gas naar achteren doet niet naar voren zodat die optrekt. en als ik gas pedaal helemaal indruk dan neemt auto snelheid af ipv dat ie dan sneller gaat. Auto werkt verder perfect geen problemen behalfe dat die helemaal niet optrekt, en tijdens gas geven hoor ik zo geluid alsof iets vol zit ofzo. Weet iemand hoe dat kan komen? Lees het hele artikel

Congratulations are in order for Kia Australia and their Sportage TV commercial. The ad featuring legendary rappers Grand Master Melle Mel and Scorpio is making a splash on the international advertising awards scene. The ad won a coveted silver pencil at AWARD, Australasia’s premiere creative award show, and another silver at Adfest, Asia’s largest celebration of advertising creativity. There are a lot of important points to make about the all-new 2012 Kia Rio Sedan, but the most surprising is that it will be the first in the sub-compact segment to feature start-stop technology. Called Idle Stop and Go (ISG for short), the Rio will completely shut off its gasoline engine when at a stop and immediately restart it just before the gas pedal is pressed. Powered by the same 1.6-liter direct-injection engine found in the new 2012 Hyundai Accent, the Rio also gets the same 30-mpg city and 40-mpg highway rating. Those EPA ratings don’t include technology like ISG, however, so real-world fuel economy could exceed the EPA estimates. And as impressive as those fuel economy numbers are, the Rio doesn’t loose out in power either, making 138-hp and sharing the title of the most potent engine in the sub-compact class. Kia continues to deliver in the design department as well, offering more style in the sub-compact segment than you’d expect. The Rio sedan even gets a slightly different front end to its Rio5 hatchback counterpart. Available in three trim levels LX models include 15-inch steel wheels and not much else, while the EX trim brings features like power locks, windows and keyless entry as well as Bluetooth. The top-level SX trim includes fog lights, LED daytime running lights, dual chrome-tipped exhaust pipes, turn signal indicators, a leather wrapped steering wheel, the Microsoft UVO infotainment system with a rear-view camera and 17-inch wheels. Options include that ISG setup as a part of the Eco Package, while SX models can be had with the Premium Package that delivers navigation, a push-button start, leather heated seats and a moonroof. New front and rear fascias give a cleaner look to the Soul, while a new hood design has also been incorporated, all of which works to give the car a smoother exterior appearance. Perhaps more noticeable are new LED taillights and even LED daytime running lights. Plus, new for 2012 are two additional paint colors, Canyon and Moss. Inside there are some new items depending on trim level, with the biggest news being the UVO Sync-style system for the Soul! and Soul sport, which comes as part of a Premium Package with leather, heated seats, Nav, climate control and a push-button ignition. The most significant changes come under the hood, however, with a new 1.6-liter direct-injection engine on base models, delivering 135-hp (up 11%) and 121 lb-ft of torque. Thanks also to new six-speed manual transmission, fuel economy is up to 28/34 mpg. Those in search of a bit more pep can upgrade to a 2.0-liter engine that makes 160-hp (up 13%) and 143 lb-ft of torque. Plus, the added power comes with little drawback by way of fuel economy with a rating of 27/33-mpg, with your choice of either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic.
