It’s that time of year again. It’s time to look back on the year that’s been and give thanks to those who keep this wild and crazy obsession of ours alive – the manufacturers. A lot has happened in the past 365 days; some good, some bad and some downright ugly. But at AutoGuide we love it all. If we couldn’t talk about cars and trucks all day long, we don’t know what we’d do. Maybe start CatVideoGuide or create the world’s first craft beer distilled exclusively by the tears of hipsters. But we digress. The automobile isn’t going anywhere anytime soon so let’s join together and give a major thanks to all that create those marvelous mechanical machines. Acura Thank you for the continual parade of NSX prototypes all over the world and the click worthy spy shots and general buzz-creating news. We greatly anticipate the model’s 2026 model year launch. Thanks as well for realizing the world needs several more TT variants – please give us the inside scoop as to when the TT pick-up truck and TT panel van will arrive. Bentley A big thanks for understanding that 752 lb-ft. of torque was not enough and what the world really needs is 811 lb-ft. in a four-door sedan. Goedemiddag, vanochtend is mij koppelingskabel vervangen nadat hij geknapt was (deel waar hij aan de caroserie gemondteerd was, was gebroken) Nu werd mij vertelt dat de koppeling zwaar gaat, de man in kwestie had zelf een c1 en die gaan licht. Nu is mijn vraag of en wat er aan de hand kan zijn aangezien mijn auto niet gilt bij het rijden (hij maakt geen hoge touren) ook voel ik hem niet slippen. ik hoor graag groet Michel Lees het hele artikel

Hyundai and Kia expect to set a new company best record for global annual sales. Thanks to better-than-expected sales in Brazil, China and India, the two Korean automakers will sell a record eight million vehicles this year, beating their target of 7.86 million vehicles after selling 6.55 million units in the first 10 months of 2014. Strong demand for the Tucson and Sante Fe crossovers also helped boost sales worldwide. The curtain was raised on the LA Auto Show on November 21, 2014, where Kia Motors presented thirty of its top cars, including the New Sorento, New Sedona, K900 (Quoris), and Soul EV. Kia’s booth featured four sections with each one rocking a ‘California Adventure’ theme. Ranging from dry desert to fruit-filled valley, the Kia booth attracted visitors with a variety of themes based on music, decoration, food and cars. But above all, the spotlight shone on Kia’s highly anticipated new SUV model, the third generation Sorento which had its overseas premiere at the Paris Motor Show just a few months ago. The completely re-engineered version of Kia’s popular SUV features a stronger body with reduced noise, vibration and stiffness while at the same time offering drivers a passionate and outgoing lifestyle experience. For North American consumers the all-new Sorento is powered by a choice of three engine options: 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder, 3.3-liter V6 and 2.4-liter normally aspirated inline-4. In addition to the all-new Sorento, Kia introduced American fans to the brand’s signature sedan, K900, in its SEMA show clothing, as well as the racing concept Optima. De binnenverlichting unit moet er idd uit om bij de bevestiging van de antennevoet te komen ,het "glaasje" haal je er af d.m.v. een kleine schroevendraaier , via de 2 gleufjes kun je het glaasje er vòòrzichtig uitwippen , eerst het ene gleufje dan het andere gleufje (het glaasje kan wel wat hebben hoor) als het glaasje er uit is zie je 2 schroeven zitten in de unit , deze los draaien en dan kan de unit er in zijn geheel uit .dan zie je de moer van de antennevoet zo zitten en kun je deze losdraaien .>Let er op dat tijdens het losdraaien de antennevoet op het dak niet meedraait<succes . Hallo,ik moet de antenne voet vervangen en dacht hiervoor het binnenlicht eruit te halen om dan langs die opening bij de bevestiging te komen. Echter het kunststof is nogal fragiel en beschadigt eenvoudig verneem ik. Dus 2 vragen:-hoe haal ik het binnen licht eruit? ik zie tussen het glaasje en het frame-pje 2 gleufjes, maar zie niet hoe-klopt het dat nadat het binnenlicht eruit is, je de antenne voet daarlangs los kunt halen? It is that time of the year again. Kia Motors and our joint venture in China, DongfengYueda Kia (DYK), is back at the 12th China Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition, with 23 different models. But this year, Kia held a very special global premiere for a new concept car named KX3, a C-segment SUV that Kia is aimed exclusively at the Chinese market. Kia KX3 concept SUV KX3 is an SUV concept with a smooth yet sporty and tough look. Its body is 2,460 mm long, 1,765 mm wide and has of 2,590 mm wheelbase to give passengers plenty of room. Its design will appeal to young and passionate Chinese consumers who pursue high-quality automobiles and an outdoor lifestyle. On top of its head-turning design, the KX3 concept is also highly praised for its outstanding specs. It is powered by 1.6-liter turbo gasoline direct injection (T-GDI) engine along with an advanced seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) that Kia is extremely proud of. These specs improve KX3’s engine performance as well as fuel economy, promising both a high degree of practicality and a great drive. KX3 Concept revealed at 2015 Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition Besides the KX3, Kia and DYK also presented the third generation Sorento, which had its first overseas premiere at the Paris Motor Show in October, Cadenza, Borrego, and numerous other models. In 2014, Kia introduced the Soul EV, the brand’s first-ever electric vehicle for overseas markets based on the second-generation iconic Soul urban crossover. With its fresher appearance and ultra-low operating costs, the Soul EV boasts an 81.4 kW electric motor, producing 285 Nm of torque, and a high-capacity 27 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery pack. On a single charge, Kia Soul EV can travel up to 212 km (131 miles), and it comes with industry-leading warranties in its major sales markets (a comprehensive 7-Year, 150,000 km warranty in Europe and 10 year/100,000 mile warranty in US). With sales now getting underway in overseas markets, here are some fun facts about Soul EV you may not have known. Soul EV is different from its gasoline/diesel-powered counterpart The Soul EV’s platform is fundamentally the same as the combustion engine-powered Soul model but the ride and handling characteristics are further improved in the Soul EV. The addition of five cross members underneath the vehicle, along with the battery, contributes to less body roll and greater stability. On the interior of the car, Kia used an increased range of bio-based materials in order to stay true to the car’s green image. These components include low volatility organic compounds and newly-developed antibacterial materials and parts. This effort to produce a more eco-friendly model has resulted in the achievement of UL Environment validation for its use of bio-based material comprising of 10 percent of the interior. This is the first-ever UL Environmental validation recognized in the automotive sector. On the exterior, the Soul EV has a slightly more modern, ‘cleaner’ look with a unique two-tone paint scheme. It also features updated LED taillights and a unique front and rear fascia, incorporating a charging port at the front. Key markets & primary customers for Soul EV Although the car will be marketed throughout Kia’s global network, Kia expects the key markets for the Soul EV to be the US and Europe, where most EV owners live. The target customers for the Soul EV are young-at-heart and highly educated individuals. A blend of contemporary design, practicality, ultra-low operating costs, and the innovative powertrain will appeal to buyers looking for a cutting-edge, eco-friendly vehicle. Recharging time and charging standard for Soul EV The Soul EV can be recharged by plugging the car into a standard household electric supply (240 V/120V or a 240 EV charging station), on-road charging points and DC fast-chargers. Recharging times are up to five hours for a fully depleted battery (depending on the power source) and 24 minutes (100 kW DC charger) or 33 minutes (50 kW DC) using ‘fast’ charge mode. New technologies make Soul EV’s HVAC system special Kia’s HVAC system features four new technologies to reduce energy usage and maximize vehicle range. The first new technology is the heat pump. The heat pump is designed to draw waste heat from as many sources within the car as possible. It operates with a combination of air and liquid, and also uses outside air as heat source. This allows the Soul EV to utilize waste heat from the air-conditioning and electrical systems to improve the energy efficiency of the heating and ventilation systems. The second new technology is individual ventilation. By pressing a button on the dashboard marked ‘driver only’, the driver can simply switch off dashboard and footwell ventilation to other passenger areas. This function helps the driver minimize energy consumption when driving alone. The Soul EV is the first car ever manufactured to feature a true ‘driver-only’ ventilation system, since other systems merely divert this ventilation to other fans within the car and use the same amount of energy. The third technology is scheduled ventilation. Scheduled ventilation allows drivers to preheat or precool the Soul EV prior to entering the vehicle. Drivers can simply set a time for the vehicle to start cooling down or heating up using an in-car touchscreen control. For scheduled ventilation, the Soul EV must be plugged in and charging in order to reduce energy load during operation. The last new technology is air intake control which manages the flow of air into and out of the vehicle to minimize the use of the air-conditioning or heating. These four technologies make Soul EV’s systems much more successful at reducing energy consumption by utilizing the available air, heat and energy more efficiently. So there you go with some fun facts about Kia Soul EV! You may fall in love with Soul EV’s ultra-stylish design at first sight, but the more you find out about Soul EV’s benefits, with its blend of ultra-low operating costs and cutting-edge innovations, the more you will love it.
