Kia is recalling nearly 80,000 Sedona minivans for a faulty suspension part that can break and possibly lead to loss of control. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the cause of the recall is the lower control arms near the wheels, which can rust and break due to salt exposure. The recall affects Sedona vehicles from the 2006 through 2012 model years that were sold or registered in 20 cold-climate states where salt is used to clear the roads in the winter time. Kia has officially announced that its all-electric Soul will be available in the U.S. starting next year. The Kia Soul EV will be the Korean automaker’s first all-electric, zero-emissions vehicle available outside of Korea and will have a target range of over 120 miles. The electric motor will boast 109 hp and 210 lb-ft of torque, making it more than capable for city and highway daily commutes.
