Kia just released the first image of its all-new Optima mid-size sedan before its official debut next week during the 2015 New York Auto Show. It will be available with “multiple engine choices” and a more spacious interior than the current generation that also offers more premium materials and new technologies to the nameplate, Kia said in an email today. Kia is expanding the availability of its Soul EV to five additional states. The Korean automaker has announced that following the launch of the Soul EV in California, the compact all-electric Soul will go on sale in Georgia, Texas, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii. Kia is choosing to expand to these states due to their charging infrastructure with over 1,800 charging stations combined. Dealerships wishing to sell the Soul EV will have to be certified and Kia will announce those eligible dealerships closer to the Soul EV’s on-sale date in the expansion states. SEE ALSO: 2015 Kia Soul EV Priced from $33,700 Kia will expand first to Georgia during the second quarter, calling the state its home since the company broke ground in 2006 on its $1 billion assembly plant in West Point. The rollout for sales in the other four states will commence in June. “From the inception of the Soul EV program, Kia’s sales strategy has been progressive and pragmatic,” said Orth Hedrick, vice president of product planning, KMA. “With the level of demand and supporting infrastructure in the state, California was a natural place to start, but we’ve been carefully studying other markets. Dat de auto met een schokje tot stilstand komt is zo wie zo niet goed , als er een rem aan blijft lopen zou dat een verklaring zijn , maar dan moet deze ook flink warmer zijn dan de andere kant , zelfs stinken ?Maar een defect wiellager kan dit ook veroorzaken , schijf gaat scheef in de klauw lopen als het echt erg is.Ik zou hier niet te lang meer mee blijven rijden , en het eens goed na laten kijken . Het probleem van het stuur deed zich net weer voor. Nog geen kans gezien naar de garage te gaan.Ik reed gewoon op de snelweg, ongeveer 20 kilometer zonder problemen gemiddeld 100 km/u. Op de terugweg zelfde, paar keer auto even op 120 gehad, en de laatste 5 kilometer begon het stuur weer te trillen bij 100 km/u. Nu heb ik het idee dat de auto slecht rolt, alsof de rem heel licht wordt ingedrukt. Bij het stoplicht met uitrollen staat hij op het laatst echt stil, met een klein schokje als het ware zonder dat ik aan de rem zit. Kan het zijn dat de remklauwen nagekeken moeten worden? Dat de trilling veroorzaakt wordt door 1 remklauw die niet goed terug komt na remmen? Geen ABS lamp deze keer. Lees het hele artikel

A new trademark filing by Kia suggests a possible adoption of all-wheel drive to its flagship sedan. But that’s not all. Last week the Korean automaker renewed an earlier filing with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for the terms K100x to K900x, inclusive. “That seems like like an indication that AWD is on the way,” said Dave Sullivan, product analysis manager for AutoPacific, Inc. SEE ALSO: Kia Sportspace Concept First Look While Kia doesn’t currently offer any models named K100 to K800, the K900 was introduced in 2014 as the brand’s new flagship luxury sedan. That car is available with either a 311-hp 3.8-liter V6 or a 420-hp 5.0-liter V8 with power going exclusively to the rear wheels. Currently the only all-wheel drive models Kia offers are the Sportage and Sorento crossovers. The adoption of all-wheel drive, says Sullivan, isn’t surprising. “The K900 is very closely tied to the [Hyundai] Equus and the next Equus is right around the corner,” he said. “The next Equus is slated to get AWD,” which is, “probably an indication that the next version (of the K900) will have AWD. Sullivan said that he expects that the Kia K900x would use a rebranded version of the H-TRAC system introduced in the 2015 Hyundai Genesis. So with much of the engineering already completed, Kia’s real motivation is consumer demand. “This was part of Jaguar’s problem…they didn’t have an AWD car,” Sullivan said. “When you look at BMW and [Mercedes-Benz] dealers in the Midwest and Northeast, they don’t stock cars without xDrive or 4Matic.” The trademark application for the other numbers 100x to 800x might also suggest the move away from traditional nameplates like the Rio or Optima towards an alphanumeric nomenclature, much in the way that premium brands do. But Sullivan isn’t so sure. “I don’t think Kia is going all alphanumeric,” he said. The filing is brief on details but does specifically outline that the “x” is lower case. When asked for comment, James Hope, product communications manager for Kia Motors America, said he had no knowledge of trademark filings and had no comment on the matter. Een lager (rubber ?) er na 4 dagen uit , is wel erg snel , garage heeft dit opgelost , prima , maar zet mij wel aan het denken .Laat het onderstel en vooral de homokineten van de aandrijfassen eens goed controleren , liefst bij een andere garage , garage was toevallig niet de bekende fast fitter ?Balanceren kan na een jaar geen overbodige luxe zijn , hoogteslag in de band/velg. Het stuur gaat soms trillen bij hogere snelheden, 90-110 km/u. Als ik dan weer afzak naar de 85 verdwijnt het. Gisteren gebeurde dit ook, na een kleine 40 kilometer rustig te hebben gereden was het trillen weg en kon ik weer 110 rijden zonder trillingen. Het probleem lijkt zich het meest voor te doen na een stukje file rijden. In de afgelopen maand het volgende gedaan:- Remschijven en blokken voor vervangen- Wiellager linksvoor vervangen (2x, de eerste klapte eruit na 4 dagen)- Bandenspanning goed gezetHet probleem deed zich een jaartje geleden ook voor, toen de wielen laten balanceren en uitlijnen, en geen problemen meer gehad tot een maandje terug.Garage gaf eerst aan kromme schijven (gebeurde ook tijdens het remmen). Vlak erna hoorde ik het lager aanlopen, die laten vervangen. Die klapte echter binnen een week eruit (rubber was goed als weg geloof ik) en die werd afgelopen vrijdag kosteloos vervangen.Gisteren een ritje naar Utrecht gemaakt, waarvan het eerste stuk dus een file met langzaamrijdend/stilstaand verkeer. Daarna weer optrekken naar de 80, geen probleem. Bij de 90 begon ik het te voelen, en bij de 100 werd het te erg om die snelheid vast te houden. Eenmaal bij Utrecht (vanaf Rotterdam dus 80/90 gereden) kon ik weer optrekken zonder problemen.Op de terugweg heb ik nergens last van gehad, maar begon op snelweg het ABS waarschuwingslampje te branden. Met 100 doorgereden naar Schiedam, geen problemen verder gehad met stuur. In de avond de auto weer gestart en het waarschuwingslichtje was verdwenen, sindsdien niet meer de snelweg op geweest.Ben een beetje op het eind van mijn Latijn zo, 300 euro aan reparaties en probleem is nog steeds aanwezig. Rear of the enhanced Rio 5-door Premium Interior Inside the car, an increased amount of high density foam has been used in both the A and B pillars of the vehicle. This is to reduce the noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) of the vehicle and to provide new technology features and premium touch points for customers. The audio system and ancillary controls also feature subtle changes, including a new piano black center console surround. North American drivers will also find the upgraded UVO eServices technology. High Performance In North America, the 2016 Rio continues to be powered by an efficient 1.6-liter inline-four cylinder GDI engine producing 138 horsepower at 6,300 rpm and 123 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,850 rpm to the front wheels. A six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic are available depending on trim level. Despite an overwhelming increase in recalls, satisfaction among recall customers has improved according to the 2015 Consumer Service Index (CSI) Study released by J.D. Power. The market as a whole saw a slight decline in overall satisfaction this year but customers who take their vehicle to a dealer for recall-related work saw its score improve to 789 from 777 in 2014. Consequently there is now an 11-point gap in satisfaction between customers with a recall visit and those with a non-recall visit, compared to a gap of 27 points last year and 21 points in 2013. The 2015 U.S. CSI Study measures customer satisfaction with service at a franchised dealer facility for maintenance or repair work among owners and lessees of one-to five-year-old-vehicles and you can see the top 10 best car dealerships by brand below. 10. Nissan Coming in at slightly above the mass market brand average of 792 is Nissan in 10th place with a score of 796 on a 1000-point scale. The Japanese automaker has stayed steady but did experience a minor drop compared to last year’s score of 797. In 2014, Nissan scored the mass market average, so this year it has improved compared to other automakers. 10. Honda Honda is tied with Nissan with a score of 796 and is an improvement compared to last year’s score of 792. Compared to the mass market brand average, Honda did improve in 2015 compared to last year, when it was five points below the average. 8. Kia Korean automaker Kia continues to improve its service satisfaction scoring 798 this year. It’s only two points more than it scored last year (796), but the automaker is above the mass market average in 2015 while it was below last year. 7. Hyundai Just like its sister brand Kia, Hyundai also improved this year coming in seventh place with a score of 803. Last year, Hyundai scored 798 and the company continues to remain steady above the mass market average. 6. Toyota Toyota remains consistent throughout the years that J.D. Power has conducted its CSI. This year the Japanese automaker lands in the sixth position with a score of 805, a slight improvement to its 801 from 2014. The company is just one brand you can always depend on seeing performing above the mass market brand average. 5. Chevrolet While other American automakers are struggling in J.D. Power’s CSI, Chevrolet has excelled in giving its customers a positive service experience. This year, the brand notched a fifth place finish with a score of 807, which is a small drop to last year’s 812. Regardless, the company is performing above the mass market average and also held a fifth-place spot last year. 4. GMC GMC sees a slight drop in position, finishing third in the 2014 CSI Study and netting fourth this year. Its 2015 score of 811 is a noticeable decrease compared to last year’s 828 but GM as a whole is performing well despite its recent increase in recalls. 3. Volkswagen The only German automaker among mass market brands, Volkswagen finishes third in the 2015 J.D. Power CSI Study, dropping from second place in 2014. This year, the company scored 818, a 12 point difference to its 2014 score of 830. 2. MINI You could say MINI is one of the most improved brands out of the entire top 10, earning a second place mark with a score of 834. Last year, the British automaker tied GMC for third with a score of 828, but was seven points behind the top finisher. This year, MINI is only two points behind. 1. Buick Once again, Buick was ranked highest among mass market brands with a score of 836, which is an improvement to last year’s 835 that also earned it the top spot. As the company continues to change its image, don’t be surprised if it joins the rankings as a luxury brand in the near future, at which point it would be below the luxury brand average of 852. Hallo Ralf,Bedank voor het antwoorden.Ik wou het zeker weten, want ik lees ook wel van die verhalen op het internet dat het wiel vastloopt of remmen begeven het etc.. dat je veder van huis bent.De auto heeft er nu 5 weken last van en er wordt maar 30 km ( haast niks) per dag mee gereden.
