Specifically tailored for the Chinese market, the K4 concept car was finally unveiled at the 2014 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition. What’s even more exciting is the news that the K4 concept car will come to life, as Kia plans for the production version of the sedan to go on sale in the second half of this year, targeting drivers with families. Developed especially with Chinese consumers in mind, the mid-sized K4 sedan concept displays a simple, distinctive and dignified exterior design – with a low nose, wedge-shaped profile and high trunk – and class-leading interior space equipped with numerous high-tech convenience and safety features. Surprises are also under the hood—Kia’s Turbo GDI engine will be making its first appearance in the Chinese market. Combined with a 7-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission), drivers will be treated to smoother gear shifts for effortless driving. The K3S production model (a cousin of the Cerato/Forte 5-door), targeting younger consumers in their twenties and thirties, also made an appearance alongside the K4 concept. Fittingly, with its trendy hatchback shape, newly designed 16 or 17 inch aluminum wheels, in addition to a sporty tailgate and rear combination lamp design, the ‘S’ added on to the original name of the K3 model stands for ‘sporty’ and ‘stylish.’ Kia also showcased specially outfitted Kia models in FIFA World Cup gear, warming the media up for the long anticipated 2014 FIFA World Cup BrazilTM,which kicks-off less than two months from now. The 2015 Kia Sedona features a new engine, fully redone interior and all new styling that blends in with the rest of the Korean automaker’s current lineup. Under the hood is a 3.3-liter V6 engine with 276 hp and 248 lb-ft of torque mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Held at New York City‘s Jacob Javits Convention Center every spring, the New York International Auto Show is always a fun time for auto fans all around. Kia Motors America (KMA) brought along the newest member of our family, the 2015 Kia Sedona, to prove that a minivan can actually be… cool. The media were buzzing with excitement as the final chapter in Kia‘s design-led transformation story—which began in 2009 and has seen a comprehensive makeover of Kia‘s entire model line by the genuine inspiration of chief design officer Peter Schreyer–came into fruition in the concrete jungle. Things kicked off with a media reception, where the 2015 Sedona was on display for all to admire. Then things moved to the Javits Center—check out the photos below. And, fittingly, the company that produces such eye-catching vehicles has also recently been in the spotlight for excellent brand image. Just last week, Kelley Blue Book (KBB.com) announced that Kia Motors America (KMA) is a 2014 Brand Image Award winner for the “Best Value Brand” – the first time Kia has won the coveted award by KBB.com, the leading source of new and used car information. Kia received high marks for its impressive lineup of stylish and fuel-efficient vehicles, specifically the Optima, Rio, Soul and Forte, and was praised for both value and affordability to new car buyers. The minivan market has taken a downturn thanks to the rise of the crossover and SUV, but some automakers still persist in the family hauling market. Kia has revealed the 2015 Sedona before the van’s official public unveiling at the upcoming 2014 New York Auto Show. A new engine, a fully redone interior and new styling on the outside make this Kia relevant in a market where if never really competed against the top players. Power now comes from a 3.3-liter V6 that makes 276 hp and 248 lb-ft of torque, hooked up to a six-speed automatic transmission. On the outside, the Sedona adopts the ‘tiger-nose’ grille that has become a staple of Kia design up front, while the back end adopts some square haunches. The van’s wheelbase grows by 1.6 inches compared to the previous version, while a rear-spoiler and LED taillights are standard. Overall, the 2015 Sedona is 16.9-feet long, 6.5-feet wide and 5.7-feet tall. SEE ALSO: 2014 New York Auto Show Preview On the inside, Kia has done a full revamp of the van which now offers more room for all of its passengers, either 7 or 8 depending on how the van is configured. Second row leg room grows to 41.1 inches, while third row passengers are treated to 34.8 inches. Up front, 43.1 inches of legroom is available along with 39.8 inches of headroom. A new system Kia calls ‘Slide-n-Stow’ has been designed for the second row of seating, allowing passengers to easily enter the third row, or to create more storage space. The seat bottom folds up and the entire seat slides forward to maximize space in the back, while the third row seats retract into the floor offering a flat space in the back. First-class lounge seats are also an available option on the second row of Sedona seats, which include small folding footrests and the capability to spin around and face rearwards. Power hookups are found throughout the Sedona, including a new 2.1-amp USB charging port and a 115-volt AC outlet. Other technology includes the latest generation of UVO infotainment, a surround view monitor that allows the driver to see all the way around the vehicle using cameras and an auto-opening tailgate that opens when the key fob is detected for more than three seconds. When it comes to driving this people mover, Kia claims that the Sedona has 36-percent more torsional stiffness than its closest competitor. It also packs electronic stability control, a brake assist system, hill-start assist, electronic brake force distribution and ABS. Ward’s Auto has presented its annual top 10 list of best interiors and some of the vehicles on the list might surprise you. From luxury to affordable compacts, the publication spent two months evaluating a total of 41 vehicles to determine which interiors had the best ergonomics, driver information, fit-and-finish, materials, value, safety, comfort and design harmony. The folks at Kelley Blue Book have released their annual Brand Image Awards. The study, now in its seventh year, honors automakers for excelling in certain areas. Categories include things like best performance brand, most refined brand and most trusted brand. Overall there are 13 winners and the results may surprise or even appall you. You’ll need to read on to find out. But first, according to KBB this isn’t some shady survey conducted by annoying telephone marketers; awards are actually the result of “extensive research gathered throughout the year.” Shoppers using the company’s website contribute to the results; in fact more than 12,000 of them participated, and here’s what the people have to say. Kia is planning to “raise the bar” in the minivan segment with the 2015 Sedona, which is set to be revealed next week during the 2014 New York Auto Show. The 2015 Sedona will feature a new chassis and the 3.3-liter V6 also found in Kia’s new Sorento crossover. Expect the engine to make 290 hp and 252 lb-ft of torque. There will also be space for up to eight passengers, which is an increase over the previous model. Heb een Magentis met 140000 op de teller ,heb hem een jaar.Toen ik hem kocht hoorde je als de tank bijna leeg was een licht zoemend geluid vanachter komen .Waarschijnlijk de(of een van de )pomp/pompen.Nu een jaar later ,doet hij het vaker ,vooral bij stationair hoor je hem enthousiast snorren met intervallen .Soms doet hij het ook een tijd(uren) niet.De auto rijdt prima,houdt in het geheel niet in.Het is dus in een jaar toegenomen ,het gesnor is storend in zo'n stille auto ,maar hij rijdt er dus niet minder om.Gaat het hier om een hoofdpompslijtage of heeft dit soort ook een opvoerpomp in de tank die niet goed kan zijn waardoor de hoofdpomp extra moet werken?Of is het misschien vuil ergens?
