OBD2 ondersteuning?

Ik heb een HUD (Head Up Display, zonder projectie) gekocht met een bedrade aansluiting op de OBD poort. Op de display komt de melding dat de auto geen OBD2 ondersteunt. Deze aanvulling alleen in de GPS mode voegt niet zoveel toe helaas. Mijn KIA is van 2008 dus type 1. Ik hoor graag wie hier ervaring mee heeft.
