The 2001-2013 Kia Sorento SUV is under investigation after 15 consumer complaints have been filed stating that the glass sunroof had shattered on their vehicles. Kia has confirmed that its K900 sedan will make its official North American debut at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. Built on the same platform as the Hyundai Equus, the Kia K900 is known as the Quoris and K9 in other markets and will be the Korean automaker’s attempt at offering a luxurious sedan at a budget price. It seems like everyone’s getting in on the SEMA action; even Kia is participating in the show. The automaker will reveal five specially modified Souls at the Las Vegas event. Each one of these cars is inspired by the world of music. The first one the company is teasing is the Vans Warped Tour Soul. According to the press release it’s both youthful and fun. Hyundai and Kia have issued the largest vehicle recall in South Korea since the current recall system was introduced there in 2003. About 660,000 vehicles across both Korean automakers’ lineups are being recalled for a faulty brake switch, an issue that has affected over two million vehicles worldwide. The recall hit North America in April with more than 1.8 million vehicles in the U.S. alone. Smaller recalls have since been launched in other markets such as Korea and China. Kia has confirmed to its dealers that the rear-wheel-drive Quoris sedan will be heading to North America as the K900 early next year. The K900 will be the Korean automaker’s first rear-wheel-drive production sedan sold in North America and will be its new U.S. flagship model. It is also sold in South Korea as the K9. Two separate recalls have been issued by Hyundai, affecting 259,000 vehicles from various models in the Korean automaker’s lineup.
