In 1944, Kia Motors, then known as ‘Kyungsung Precision Industries,’ had its humble start as a handmade bicycle manufacturer. Little did the modest start-up know at the time, but this operation would pave the way to manufacturing motor vehicles of all kinds, and lead Kia in becoming one of the world’s fastest growing automotive brands. That’s right, it all began with a metal frame that connected a saddle seat, two wheels, foot pedals, and a pair of handle bars to form one the most basic means of mechanical travel. Coming Full Circle to the New K Velo Going back to its humble beginnings with a modern and updated twist, Kia has recently launched the ‘K Velo’ series of…

Kia Motors Worldwide Facebook page just launched a new game called “BeatPop”, an addictive game reminiscent of Bejeweled except with Kia’s vehicles embedded inside these gems. It presents a screen of 64 cartoon cars, in a matrix of eight vertical columns and eight horizontal rows. You need to line up three identical cars by swiping the screen vertically or horizontally in one mouse move, resulting in “combo”. After a series of combos reaching at a certain level, you can unlock star shaped bombs that can destroy a vertical and horizontal row. Even though we created this game for our Facebook fans, we’ll be frank; we can’t stop playing it ourselves. But don’t take our wo…

When most customers drive their new Kia Sorento CUV away from the showroom for the first time, the dealer probably expects that they will be doing a little off-road driving during their ownership of the vehicle. However, Dr. Maciej Kalarus is not a typical customer. Having purchased a graphite colored Sorento 2.0-liter CRDi from Kia Motors Poland last year, Dr. Kalarus set off on an epic road trip in the summer of 2011. The intrepid driver travelled 27,000 km (approximately 17,000 miles) from Poland to the Western border of China and back –crossing vast open grassland and arid deserts, climbing snow-covered mountains and fording rivers along the way. Pacific 2012 -P…
