Modeljaar in VIN

Hallo forum,

 

Ik heb begrepen dat je uit het VIN nummer het echte modeljaar kunt halen.

Welk deel van de code staat voor het modeljaar?

When decoding VIN, it is best to approach it by sections:

1. The first 3 digits are the World Manufacturer Identifier (WMI):

The first element refers to the location of production. Each country is assigned a unique character code under WMI
The second digit refers to the name of your car’s brand, and is commonly the first letter of that brand.
The third element, when combined with preceding two characters, refers to the classification of your car or production segment.
 

2. The next 6 elements are the “descriptors”:

The fourth through eighth elements refer to the model, type, various systems, and engine classification.
The ninth element is a security digit, used to prevent fake VINs.
 

3. The last 8 digits are the “identifier”:

The tenth digit refers to the car’s model year.
* B-Y each tally with the model years 1980-2000.
* 1-0 each tally with the model years 2001-2009.
* Counting returned to A in 2010, and will move along the alphabet up to 2030.
The eleventh element refers to the location of car assembly. Each manufacturer has distinctive code combination for its plants.
The twelfth through seventeenth elements contain numerals that each car is assigned while in assembly.

Graag gedaan, mocht uw vraag hiermee opgelost zijn. Dan kunt klikken op "markeren als oplossing".
Als mensen later op het forum zoeken naar oplossingen dan is het overzichtelijk welke vragen verholpen zijn en welke niet.
 

Als u nog vragen heeft dan hoor ik het ook graag. Volgens mij zijn er ook VIN Decoders online beschikbaar, maar deze zijn niet officieel van Kia. U kunt vast wel Decoders vinden via Google en uw eigen VIN hierin testen. Mogelijk dat u dan nog meer informatie uit uw VIN kan achterhalen.

Tapatalk is een op zichzelf staande oplossing daar kan je zeer weinig aan aanpassen, zeker dit niet...

Het wil bij Tapatalk weleens helpen om dingen die onderop het scherm staan zichtbaar te maken, om je telefoon 'dwars' dwz. in portretstand/landscape te houden (dan moet je wel 'scherm kantelen' aan hebben staan natuurlijk).

Bij een ander forum werkt dat om de handtekening, die onder het bericht staat, zichtbaar te maken.

Misschien kun je er iets mee.

Wat je zelf wel kan doen in tapatalk is die onzinnige melding "Verstuurd vanaf mijn **** met Tapatalk" uitzetten want dat interesseert echt niemand iets

Hier hebben ze ws de (hoofdletter) I weggelaten, want ik heb een K*** en die is van 2019.

Dus L = 2020, M = 2021.

Is dit nou het werkelijke productiejaar of zou dit het MY zijn? Iemand met een auto van tegen het eind van 2020?

En waren de eerste auto’s die in 2020 geleverd werden niet nog van hetzelfde model als die in 2019 geleverd waren?

Dank je. Dit was precies het voorbeeld waarnaar ik op zoek was.

Hier ook een N in het nummer. Zal wel zo'n beetje alles zijn met het nieuwe logo.

Het nieuwe logo is van modeljaar 2022. 2023 is er nog niet, dus ja, alle nieuwe logo's hebben een N. De N van modeljaar 2022 oftewel MY22.
